Paypal Limited 180 days with £3.5K UK
 

Hi,

Had a very good stealth account running for about a year but got caught out the other day, and my paypal account was closed and the £3.5K balance put on 180 day hold. Yes I know it's my fault for having that much money in there, had a good week of sales and didn't get chance to withdraw.

Never had a problem with the account, and ebay remains unlimited with 0 defects etc.

I have been given no reason as to why they have limited it, other than "high risk".

Whilst it will not bankrupt me, I cant bear to see those greedy sods at paypal hold my money for that long. I ring in every day but they just hang up on me, they are so rude considering I have that much money lodged with them.

Anyway, does anyone have any advice as to how it could be released earlier? ID, proof of address uploaded but still no luck. I refuse to wait the full 180 days.

Did they give you a list where you can upload your documents or is it the FINAL ban notice?

Yeah uploaded documents. I don't know if its a final ban notice as everyone keeps saying different things to me? One woman said I might get it after 30 days, another said after 180 and the rest just hang up on me.

Well, if you got the 180 day notice plus uploaded docs then it seems to be final... Sometimes they do it as early as 45 but thats IF you have no chargebacks / cases / issues and some are spiteful enough to make you wait the entire 180 days...

The 45 day early policy is rare indeed
