Anyone still having paypal account limited after first payment?

I know many people got their stealth paypal accounts limited after first payment last month.

This happened to me too. But this week, I haven't have any fresh paypal limited after first payment anymore.

Just curious what is going on with your guys? Does the situation getting better now?

nope, if you have risky items, they limit after first sale, ive change item names around and get about 2-3 sales before limit. but i still see a ton of other sellers out there doing the same thing so I know there must be a way

haha, that's what I am doing to keep every account surviving. I only make at most 3 sales on each account. I also change item names for each account.

Except that I am selling the high risk items. I think the riskiness is not a problem.

I am thinking that paypal may have updated their detection system to include a item name scan. If people who keep using the same item name for each account got limited on the first sales while we can last longer until the fourth or fifth items, then it must be the name issue.

So...you are selling high risk items? Or not...? If yes, then riskiness is a problem

It's the items you guys are listing first. You said your selling high risk items that's your problem there is no banning wave or whatever your thinking.

Re: Anyone still having paypal account limited after first payment?

Why don't you try selling some non risky items then try listing these items again and see what happens

Re: Anyone still having paypal account limited after first payment?

I'm selling high risk items on multiple accounts aged over 90 days and haven't had any problems with paypal yet. I also sold first item on an account a few days ago with no problems but I'm listing 5$ low risk used items to start out my accounts. i only list one high risk item just after the 30 day mark, 2-3 items @ 60 days and at 90 days I keep 5-8 listed at all times replacing when one sells.

I paid 37$ to extend my membership over this topic so I really hope this topic ends up with a conclusion.

I haven't tried to withdraw on this new account but I usually don't until after the 90 day mark when I add a BA and 21 day hold is gone. I'll buy things using the account but haven't yet.

I have had no problems with my accounts. Sounds like the item is the issue

In my opinion this thread has come to a conclusion and has been answered before it's your choice if you want to introduce high risk products before the 90day mark or wait till after. I choose too do it after the first month on mine and had no problems all depends on the item. It would be dumb to list a high risk item as your first item.

It only happens on fresh account. I know you are already a big seller with bunch of aged accounts.

Yes it is risky items. I am thinking it may be the combination of the riskness and freshness that got us limited.

I start to have a feeling that it is a permanent problem. Paypal may have upgraded the detection system

I am talking about the banning wave for the fresh account that sells high risk items. If you are selling legit items, you are always fine. But I know many people in this forum selling high risk items.

This may be a solution, but many risky items sellers don't want to wait that long. For a fresh account we only have 5 or 10 selling space and we don't want to waste them. It may be a profit cut if we have to do this every time.

You are talking about your fresh accounts have no problem selling a lot non-risky items in a short time period? Like above $100 and 5 items per day?

If you wait for that long, then I don't think your account is fresh anymore. I think your account is safe. The limit issue that many people have been complainting about is they got limited on the first sales immediately, but they put the high risk items at first.

Conclusion:
If you are selling non-risky, you are fine anyway.
If you are selling high risk, you are also fine if you start slowly with non-risky.
If you are using the aged account, you can fly anywhere.
If you are selling high risk and don't want to start with non-risky, change the items name for each account.

There is no banning wave but if your listing high risk item as your first that's a fail and I sell high risk items.

Sometimes you can get a new account limited without any transactions on it. Never use new accounts for selling. Always let them age for a few weeks , before first sell then cool off 1-2 months.

Have this problem all the time

Age the account first then start selling it after one month

Re: Anyone still having paypal account limited after first payment?

I sell risky stuff.....sell the first item for less than $50, unlink the paypal then wait a week. Put in another $300-500 then wait a month.

I have 8 active.

Unlinking the pp does not mean that the link is severed.

I am getting hit with this limitation on all my Paypal accounts (30 days old) right after receiving payment from direct invoice.. so this issue doesn't necessarily have to do with eBay.

That's a fun fact. Technically, paypal can't see what product your direct invoice is for, so they can't indentify whether it is high risk or not

Evaluate your methods if you are getting limited after first sale. EPIC FAIL METHOD.

it's risky, sometimes Paypal won't let you withdraw after 180 days

I suggest stop putting money on this one and create a new one

Re: Anyone still having paypal account limited after first payment?

I sold my old Beats for £40 and bam, limited on PayPal. Gotta be down to those. The other account I created I have sold two jackets worth £120 and have not been limited. I guess I'll keep to clothing for the time being.

Has anyone tried to lift the limitation though? I have a receipt for the Beats to prove authenticity and all the other things being requested are for the European withdrawal limits anyway.

Just out of curiosity for those that are having problems, does your VCC bins start with 466544?

The accounts that I have that are causing problems seem to be all the ones with the bin above and the other accounts with different bins are still fine.
