Verification of a VCC credit card
 

My stealth Paypal account has been limited. I need to provide the following:

-Photo ID (done)
-Proof of address (done)
-Upload bank statement (done)
-Provide your business information (done)
-Provide supplier information (done)
-Provide proof of postage (done)
-Provide invoice (done)
-Provide info on account activity (done)

-Provide credit card statement (problem)

The 'credit card in question is a VCC, a prepaid MasterCard debit with Crest Wave Holdings. I can't get a statement to verify that the account belongs to my stealth alias.

The only thing that I can think to do is to Photoshop a bank statement from one of my real bank accounts e.g. HSBC or Halifax and hope that PayPal's account verification process only involves looking at the documents submitted as if they check the first digits of the account's card number in a BIN database they will see that it is a prepaid card held with Crest Wave Holdings and that the info does not match up.

Anyone know how thorough PayPal are when it comes to verifying accounts?


Alternately I could upload a JPEG of some text reading something along the lines of 'I used a pre-paid gift card when I signed up to PayPal, I didn't know that it was a bad thing to do and didn't think it would be an issue. All of my other pieces submitted for account verification check out so.... please let me off' :violin:

The statement must be from the correct bank, as they know the first digits.
A screenshot or on-screen print off can always be submitted anyway. After all, even high st banks are often paperless options.....

PayPal do not like fairy tales.

They only want the facts.

Pity for many of us this.

With a limitation like this, PayPal will examine everything closely.

Not to a bringdown OP but in many instances like this where PP asks for a ton of info...there are lots of stories of the reinstatement being denied. I wouldn't keep your hopes completely up there but best of luck.

PayPal don't always cross check card number / statement.
