2 PayPal accounts instantly limited - I haven't sold/bought anything yet?
 

I have been doing stealth for almost 7 years, I have never seen nothing like this before. I created a new PayPal account under a new user account, with a fresh IP, a vanilla visa card, and with a new number (TracFone). After I created the account, verified my email & phone number, my account was instantly limited. I haven't sold or bought a thing, I haven't even created an eBay account yet. They are asking me for a picture of my Photo ID and want me to answer some type of security questions? I thought the account might have been linked somehow, so I deleted the PayPal account and closed the user account on my laptop.

On another laptop I followed the usual steps, but this time I used an IP from my Verizon MiFi and verified the number using a Verizon prepaid number. I received an instant limit, same as the first account. They must be really cracking down :/.

I doubt you are doing it correctly. I just created just now and they are working fine...

Yup, I must be doing something wrong. After the hundreds of stealth accounts I've made over the years, now I am messing them up somehow. I blame my early onset alzheimer's disease. :>.

This always comes down to something you did something wrong; Knowingly, or not. Review & repeat.

Maybe it has something to do with the VCC used? Ive heard several users mention Vanilla has been problematic for them. I dont use them myself so I cant say either way. Just something to explore.

I know exactly why they are limiting you, you say it right in your post. I'll PM you the details. They're definitely cracking down, but they're really cracking down on this one particular aspect that I'm going to PM you.

Have you used the same Mifi to make other accounts?

All members should also remember that's making deals with unauthorized sellers are not allowed on the forum, and you're subjecting yourself to being scammed.

Yea. They recently made a minor change to their system and it started going ham on limiting new accounts and asking for one document, photo ID. You can still avoid it though.
