So, I created a stealth Paypal account under my friend's name/address and Paypal asks me for documents. I can't provide utility statement as he is still 18-19 y.o and lives with parents but if we show his bank statement, can Paypal not recognise that the details don't match up with the VCC used?

The bank statement would be fine as proof of address.

You did not make a stealth account. You used someones details.

Bank statement is not a worry for your VCC.

I was told using someone's name other than mine is classed as "stealth"?

Still so confused what even is classed as a stealth account.

some places consider what you did as identity theft. You did not create anything just used someones details as if it was your own.

I made the assumption that as he had access to his friend's bank statement that the account was created with his knowledge / permission.

That aside, using a real person's details,even with their permission, is a really bad idea.

Everyone yaps around on this forum to buy the guide so I did. It literally suggests "Family and Friends" for name & email. If not friends and family as guide suggests, then who's detail's do I use then?

Did I waste my time and 15£ on this guide?

VCC and a bank statement are 2 different things

The bank statement will be fine to use as proof of address
