We have detected some unusual activity associated with a bank account
 

Well I just received this email from paypal, and I have no idea why. The only thing I can think of is that my bank account denied one of transfers due to insufficient funds, but in reality I was just testing to see if my new bank would let me overdraft ( hsbc direct).

Here is the email

"As a security measure, we regularly screen PayPal activity. Recently, we
noticed a problem with your account.

We have detected some unusual activity associated with a bank account
linked to your PayPal account."

They want my SS and for me to confirm my location. Name on bank account is different then the name on my paypal account. This account was only used to send payments and not receive. Any ideas or suggestions to avoid this in the future?

Don't try to overdraft your Bank account. :)

hehe I know what I dummy mistake on my part:doh:. Think thats the only reason the limitation happen?

Next time just call the bank and ask...

Most likely yes,

dont pay with a bank account anyway, use a credit card / debit card.. more protection
