Paypal Funds Release After 180 Days

My funds are available to be released, and I called and was able to add a new bank account, but whenever I go to transfer funds to my bank account I get "genericError". Also, every time I call each representative says 1. You need to upload ID OR 2. Try to transfer in a few days, leading me to believe that depending on who I talk to, they want me to upload an ID. Also, I always ask to talk to the phase 2 limitations team, should I try another department?

EDIT: After the 180 days ended, I called in because I was having trouble withdrawing and an employee accidentally removed the limitation. Two days later, it was placed back on. AND NOW, I just got off the phone and was told I would have to wait another 180 days (April 9) due to the employee who removed the limitation. Currently talking to a phase 2 manager as of 1:56 PM EST, October 13.

EDIT: Just got off the phone (again), and after speaking to 2 managers, I was able to transfer the funds.

So, just to be clear they removed the limiation and a couple days later put it back on?
Now they are telling you have to wait ANOTHER 180 days?
That sucks!

I think you should escalate this issue, and failing that, try and get your case in the hands of the Executive Escalations people. You might need to file an online BBB case or your state AG's office to get their attention tho, but it's worth a shot esp. if you have a bit of money tied up in there.

Paypal no longer cares about BBB, CFPB, etc. If they ever get fined its minimum, and much less than the amount of money they make from interest/save from hiring actual customer service

Although this is somewhat true, what I have personally experienced is once you file a BBB or the state AG, it results in the Executive Escalations dept. contacting you a couple weeks later. There is a shot they may remove the 180 hold, as I have had some success with that. Never hurts to try.
