PayPal keeping funds until i prove my identity
 

Hi,

I am not sure if this has been covered properly already. I two UK Stealth PayPal accounts that have been limited. They are holding the funds up to 180 days but require identification to release the funds.

Does anybody know anyway round this?

With my first account i have sent Passport and drivers license which they have refused 3 times now! They say they can not verify my documents.

But how are they running checks on the passports and DL's?

Never used to have any issues but now it seems like they have stepped the game up. Has anybody has any experience of getting the funds released after 180 days when they have denied identification more than once?

It must be the end of stealth PayPal if there is no way past this as this could just be the icing on the cake!

u need to get a canada or us account maybe... UK it seems like is getting very strict on paypal revenue. Ive been seeing a bunch of threads with the same topic and the OPs are all from UK

Could I have a USA PayPal with a UK eBay account do you know?

It’s becoming a nightmare having a load of money trapped in a accounts!

You could but it wouldn't be easy for you to process payments on a US PP account with all the tax regulations on US accounts. If you're going to take this route use a different country (CA for example) and list on UK.

I think they're getting tighter on releasing limited funds like this site wide though. They've always been aware of stealth accounts. Now they've found a way to increase profits by making it impossible for bad stealth account operators to get their money. By "bad operators", I mean those who get Paypal accounts limited with money stuck inside.

Are the passport/DL stealth or real?

I've the same problem with Paypal verifying stealth documents to see if real.

No they’re not real and they are adamant that they are not releasing the funds until they see identification that they can verify.

How are they verifying DL / Passports? As I couldn’t see PayPal having passport scanners or in contact with DVLA to confirm you DL number.

It’s getting tighter and I do believe stealth will struggle very badly with this in place as I can’t see a way moving forward from this. I have over £2k trapped in two accounts which is making me think I will never see those funds again

They will be using a third party company to verify each document to see if genuine.

The game is up for me using paypal. Totally destroyed my business. Would love to **** them over big time.

Theres no doubt paypal have become much stricter... However its not the end of stealth.

They havent been releasing funds and have been funny over docs (after 180 days) for a few years on paypal UK.

Its nothing new.

Anyone from UK use USA EBAY/PAYPAL?

Do you know anyway around this? I’ve heard of contacting PayPal USA but I’m not sure if that is going to work, I’ve already tried twice.

Do you have any tips or tricks by any chance please?

I have the stealth guide etc but this sort of issue isn’t widely covered.

I do have a guy who knows somebody inside PayPal who can get the funds for you to withdraw but it’s at a cost of 50%!!

I agree, ten times more harder now than what it used to be! That must cost them some money but save them some money at the same time by using a third party to verify. What a nightmare!

PayPal has long had the ability to verify and confirm the identity docs you send them with third party databases. If you are using stealth (made up) details no matter how good your "docs" are, they obviously won't pass.

With US PayPal they only seem to manually check it if they have any reason to suspect you are not who you claim to be.

Two years ago It was fine, so maybe they have switched things up in the UK.

DL and passport numbers have to be in a certain order with check numbers and include dob expiry etc. Also you need to change exif data if you've photoshopped as they will see the program used to modify it was PS

Its best to print edited docs out then photo it. Photos pass easier than scans IMO

If you want to see it in action, try to sign up for a neteller account. If your docs pass there verti (its instant) then they will pass paypal .. still the monkeys at paypal might still keep you limited

So paypal UK are checking UK docs to see if real.

What if you started using UK paypal stealth with Polish details. would Paypal Uk then be able to verify stealth documents to see if real?

Other alternative is to start using USA ebay/paypal stealth.

Hi can you help me please ? My paypal got limited and i need to send them invoices and provide business info. I dont know what to do as i live in uk buy clothing from EU i am not a bussines woman i just buy clothing for cheaper price and try to sell them. I always pay with western union but i dont know if It will be enough can you pls help me thank you

I think this is the way forward. There was an article on the news re people using ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Polish passports, etc, to rent property (virtually impossible to check whether they're genuine).

Maybe start creating stealth's with Polish sounding names! :d

This is usually the point I give up and move to the next account. Just wait out 180 days for money. You can send them everything they ask for and they'll still limit you.
