Default warning! paypal doesn't release funds after 180 days limitation

warning! paypal doesn't release funds after 180 days limitation

i need suggestions! please help!

after 180 days limiation, i got an email stating that i can withdraw the funds, surely i try to withdraw it, and it shows pending, but the next days, the withdraw was cancelled, i contact paypal and they sent me an email, tell me that they will continue hold my funds because the funds in my PayPal account have been fraudulently obtained through a stolen eBay account.

what! i can't believe it, both the paypal the ebay accounts are mine! and surely the registeration information is f.a.k.e, but they ask to provide document! i am messed up! finally, they do not forget to thread me to contact relevant law enforcement authorities
regarding the transactions if necessary.

i begin to believe due to Financial crisis, paypal company may be encouter cash crisis?! can they hold my funds for ever if i am unable to provide the requested document? you know, all informatoin is f.a.k.e

Yes this is something new. In order to get your money you have to provide them with what they want. Since it's a stealth account you will have to be creative with how you provide the info.

Ok I believe you it's not stolen! Like I said since it's a stealth account be CREATIVE! You can get your money if you supply the info requested.

I never heard this one before. Is there anything that happened. So we know to avoid it? Or did they just throw this at you out of the blue?

There's more to this than what has been said so far. Probably a good reason to hold back certain details, but as much as ppaskfund can tell us would be helpful.

Why do they think the ebay acct was hijacked? The personal info like name and address don't match, maybe? Like oh, ebay setup as stealth then paypal setup as stealth, but separate setup at different times? Maybe purchased the ebay account and then purchased the PP account elsewhere? Maybe the PP is from HK and the ebay is from AU? Too much we don't know.

Possibly this is paypal's new policy? There's another thread where this happened to someone else, I'll see if I can find it.

I'd really like to know how this goes because I have a bit of money limited right now in 3-4 accounts. One in particular should become available to me next month and I'm counting on it being available as it should =( Has anyone come off limitation recently and had the funds given back as usual?

Default meet the same problem, need help to solve it

I met the same the problem as you. My Paypal account had been 180 days, and I have tried to contact PP to lift the limitation. And been told as you said, it said my money came from stolen ebay ID ask me to provide the ebay ID information. As you did, my ID registered by myself with f-a-k-e name and address.

The limitation just past 2 months, I am not sure after 6 months I can get the money.

Hope someone could help us, and I think it will happen to more users.

is this happening to US users as well? What if none of the $ in the account is from ebay? Will they still not release the funds? I'm starting to worry now :(

Supply them the documents they are asking for. Whatever type, it can be done. Case closed

No!!! Called paypal service rep. many times, the answer is SAME: no way.
I got the 180days withdraw problems as well, 4 accounts limted after 180days, but no money can be cashed out right now. I have heard that some one got limted 170,000usd within pp account...seeking new methods to lift this.

Paypal changed some rules in the past 180 days. Paypal now does not let people add/change bank info.

No bank account attached or the bank account already closed, right?

If someone in the Omaha Fraud team marked it as 'No Appeal' permanently, you are done. Nobody and no way can get them back.

Pumba, your account stay limited after the 180 days. You will still see a limitation notice when you login, the only difference after the 180 days is that paypal will allow you to withdraw your funds, even though your account stays limited.

This is probably a stupid question. If you cant provide the documents/SS # to Paypal. Can you simply tell Paypal that you just used another name. You could tell PP ya it was wrong to do that but it is still your money, not theirs.
