Does PayPal link Accounts with EIN
 

Hello All,

Im looking to start a new business account from the jump with PayPal. When signing up, can I use the same EIN that I had registered from my old PayPal account that got suspended. Does PayPal use EIN to link accounts?

Yes, make a new LLC and get a new EIN

I have recycled EIN many times. However, I call IRS and change all the info to match paypal.

I have recycled EIN from 7 yrs ago and still working for me.

Paypal linked and limited 2 of my accounts years ago because I had the same SSN/name on two accounts. The same thing would happen if you had the same business name + EIN on account. No experience doing what Max said.. I just go with a new EIN.

Ok, I don't really understand why there's been an influx of people who are just wanting to cut corners and risk their business.
I don't know if it's laziness or just lack of knowledge.

If it's the former, is it really worth it risking the business after you have spent time and money building it whether it's 1 day or 10 years from now?

No, you can't reuse that information. Once it's tied to an account, it can't be reused.. luckily it's not that difficult to get a new EIN if you need it and thankfully at that point with an account it can usually take as much as you can throw at it as far as sales goes.
