Need to provide Docs to show PROOF OF SSN (not necessarily SSN)
 

So paypal limited but they've given me the option under the SSN to show "Proof of SSN" by uploading documents...what documents I asked and then they sent me the customary auto-reply. Anybody else ever been in this situation?

Curious to know what kind of documents I can fax to establish my "Proof of SSN" without giving them my actual ssn

I just want to hear what everyone thinks about this because I don't think I've seen a PP limit like this...but I think its a good limit :bounce:

I would have scanned my ss card and blacked out most of the numbers then. how'd you get around it?

I am in same situation....needing to provide proof of SSN....ideas?

I was able to get around the limit as well with one phone call and the correct wording. There is no way I would post it on here though...

Keep in mind though some of you could figure it out but you have so many other marks against the account it will take more than being "polite".

All the stuff I sell is not china junk or vero items.

Point of this post is....it can be done...letting your account go into the negative will not get you past it just FYI.

Some of you who keep having problems time and time again and still follow the stealth guide are linking yourself via location, type of product and possibly computer. If you approach eBay and PP as a loan company and not some emergency vendor to dump product quickly on a new account cause you have to pay bills you are going to do a lot better......that's just my opinion. So building "trust" with a company that will dump you in a moments notice is important. They know we need them....however they know the buyers do not need them.

ebayfiredme, completely agree with you- the right wording and a simple phone call will do the trick. As long as the items you're selling haven't gotten you any neg's or disputes. But that should essentially be it

help needed, I need to supply ssn number to us paypal, the problem is that i am in uk and it is for a stealth account... please help..:hail:

try telling them you are from uk and dont have ssn yet, give them other docs instead..eg passport or student visa/docs

when paypal limited my account and asked for the ssn, i called them and asked if i could fax them my voters registration card instead, and it worked, my paypal account limit was lifted

what if you do not have UK passport or student visa/docs?

oompapa's answer was to a UK user who should have those documents. There are choices mentioned for US users. :peace:

Is this account a stealth? I only ask because if it is, wouldn't your name on registration give you away if you were suspended before? Not unless you were able to 'nudge' the facts a bit to suit your needs. Of course, it could be a legit account as well.
