Super soft limit - PP wants invoices
 

Got a limitation from PayPal today. This one was interesting - only wanted me to provide invoices for the last 5 transactions I sold to ensure I "have the items" I sold.

3 of those items were already in transit at time of transit, and 2 more are getting ready to ship tomorrow. I don't have invoices.

Anyone been in this situation and used the tracking delivery as sufficient proof of inventory? Will it work?

No that will not work.
And I wouldn't call that a super soft limitation...
You WILL need to give them what theyre asking for to remove this limitation.

It's not that difficult... ask for a copy of the invoice from your source.

If it's not that accurate, then be creative on the invoice.

You can even put a phone number on it that you can pick up on your own. =]

This is NOT a " Super soft limit" at all. In fact, it can spell the end of your PayPal if you don't handle it right.

When either PP or EB is asking for invoices, this request should not be taken lightly. In fact, the situation usually means they have concerns about that you are selling.

Kirk, do you have what they need from you?

If not, can you get them from your source and give that to them?

I don't know if this will help, but maybe you can take a photo of your inventory with a piece of paper that has your name on it when you send in the invoice also?

The reasons I called it a ‘super soft’ limit is because usually they’re a lot more invasive with their requirements. I’ve never gotten an “invoice only” request for the ‘last 5 transactions’… they’ve always wanted SSN, photo ID, and the whole 9.

That being said, I guess Ill have to find a way to provide them with some documentation that fits the criteria they want. Currently I don’t have it.

Time to get creative.
There are a couple of sites out there that offer free invoice templates. Use google.

The items are kind of niche. Would it work if I provide an invoice that lists the items as part of a larger 'lot' purchase, rather than individualized items?

E.g. "clearance lot", as opposed to "100pcs item 1, 100 pcs item 2", etc

This happened to my EB and I thought it was an easy fix. After I provided all legit invoices my EB was suspended forever. The invoices I provided got Amazon approvals but not EB. You have to be very careful what you send in. They are more restricted than you think. Don't send more than you have to and they will question every single item on your invoices. Also they will need to see more creditable vendor which is allowed to distribute such item in US. This is what I learned from my EB experiences. You still can send in whatever you have...cross my fingers and hope for the best for you!

Ebay does tend to scrutinize documents a lot more than PP or even Amazon, that's a fact from personal experience.

I found that once EB requests invoices due to MC011 or similar, you're done 95% of the time. These requests are not to be taken lightly at all.

Thank your fufu competitors. They like to report other fufu sellers like a fulltime job.
