Paypal asking for utility bill/id/ssn
 

I was selling a few things on ebay and eventually i tried to only send $10 to my bank account only to see what would happen and then it started to ask for this information so they could verify who i am. The thing is i already gave them my ein, added a bank account, verified my phone number and gave them a legit address, but not anybody i know. The thing is i do not want to provide a social because i will get caught immedialey if i do. As for my utility bill i can provide that because its easy to get.

I used to PS by myself for this but all failed in several hours after submit. It seems they know something.

Once they ask for the usual "trifecta" (ID/proof of address/ssn) that means they have serious doubts who you are claiming to be. You can be nearly 100% sure if you do submit all they ask they are going to check that info against 3rd party databases to verify the identity. It of course won't pass unless the info is real.

If stealth move on, this account is toast.

I turned in actual documents , drivers license, utility bill, cable bill, 10 item delivered tracking and my suppliers phone number. All legit was permanently limited in 5 minutes. Must be the items I am selling because everything else was legit.

When they ask for these things... MOST of the time is not to confirm you to get back in, rather they use all these info against you to make sure you won't get back in.

I'd never give a privately owned company my documents. So the lesson here is NEVER trust what they say.

As SaiJin has said so many times before, this type of request nearly always means they have no intention of reinstanting you, although there *might* be a sliver of a chance they might, assuming your docs pass the smell test at PayPal.

Again, there are never guarantees, and you can never believe what eBay or PayPal tell you.

It's so much better to be productive and spend your time creating more accounts rather than wasting more energy trying to get back an account that you are unlikely to anyway.

Yes, my real middle name on acct, real mediacom bill and 15 delivered tracking. Names of three mfg companies I use.

I lived and operated normally with a limited PP for 4 months now. It was limited in a way of them requesting ID/SSN/Address.

But can you use your paypal money, when they limited me I could not withdraw or spend the money , ONLY receive money,lol
