PayPal phone number change
 

Hi guys
I didn't use my accounts for few months.
Now went back to selling. Made few slow sales. Money available on PayPal (no hold). About $250 total.
Since I was away for few months BOA closed my account. I attached new CapOne account and verified it before start selling again.
Today I was trying to withdraw some money from my PP to bank but PP asks me to call or text verification.
I had this accounts for 2 years. Power seller.

I never had this issue before and I didn't find the answer on a forum.

Do you think I should get new phone number and update it with PP or is it going to be too suspicious changing bank account than changing phone number?

If somebody had this issue before please advise should I forget about this account or should I try with a new phone number?

If you still have the same phone number, then use that. NO need to change the phone.
If all they want is a text verification, then it should be easy to do.

That’s the problem
I don’t have phone numbers for old accounts.
So I should link new number.
Will it raise red flag?

Adding a new phone won't raise a red flag but you won't be able to use it for such verification for several months. If you do you'll get an error messes telling you the number is not registered in your name - a generic error.
On a sidenote - it is quite possible you received this verification request because of the bank account you added. Capital one are known to be problematic when used with paypal.

If I add new phone number now I still won’t be able to withdraw?
I am asking because I changed bank info on half of my accounts.

Do you think if I add same BOA accounts to the rest of my accouts it will increase my chances?

You will not be able to add same BOA accounts to other pp accounts - please clarify, difficult to understand what you are doing

Buy a Verizon basic phone plan and change outgoing caller id to stealth name. Wait 4 days to update. Use it to receive text and get past it, it will pass name verification . 55 dollars out the door for a month of service and actiastion .

Other news, PayPal is a PITA. It's no wonder people have a hate/love relationship with them. They do everything they can to make things difficult.

Why not? If I have few more old accounts that have BOA accounts (but bank closed this this accounts some time ago). If I attach new CapOne I have this issue if I attach new BOA account may be it would get through. This is what I am trying to figure out
