Paypal EIN
 

So when paypal asked for tax Id when I had one good month, I registered for an EIN with irs.gov. Now I just got and email asking for tax status or my acct would be limited?

What?

I thought EIN took care of that?

Major bug in PayPal’s system right now. I added ein to all my accounts and as of recent I’m getting The same notification as you.

you should provide it before you hit 200 transaction

call them. they will reset and you can successfully add it the second time.

I got it too.

I had to go into several of mine with my EIN and re-add it. It wouldn't take it.

I had to re-enter the EIN first on settings, then go back to the warning and add it there, and then I had to re-enter my address as an address change, then log off and log back on to get the warning to go away.

Had to do it twice in the past two days. Big pain. But I can't afford to have them limited.

When I log in to look at my EIN, it shows EIN xxxxxx-42, so doesn't that mean they have it already??

Does the paypal email address work on ebay now? That is the most important thing. If it does not work, you need to call into paypal and they will reset the account, then the email works(most important) and then they ask to add again with no flaws.

All emails are the same, but I moved and having trouble finding my EIN number, got 10 more boxes to look through. Can I call IRS and get the number from them.
