21 day hold PLUS limitation?
 

Hey. I'm not sure if this was answered or asked before, but I couldn't find it specifically. I was wondering if paypal would limit an account for receiving a large amount ($2200), if it was payment for an ebay item that had already been placed on 21 day hold, and lasted through the 21 days without any issues, disputes, etc. Basically, I'm assuming that I will receive a hold placed on it, but will I (or am I likely to) also be limited? The account receiving the payment has never received any payments even close to that. Thanks for your insight.

Do you want to know if your paypal account has transactions on the 21 day hold ( for whatever reasons) AND there is/will be a further transaction of an amount of $2000 what might happen?

I mean...what if you sell a laptop, and the bidding ends at $2300. If the account it was sold from, has low fb and has never had a large ticket sale before, I would assume that a 21 day hold on the funds would be expected. What I would like to know, is what other things could happen after (or during) that hold (assuming of course that there are no related disputes, claims, or other negative factors).

Is it possible (or likely), that the paypal account receiving that payment could also be limited (assuming it had no prior large ticket sales on it)? Basically, I'm interested in knowing if passing the 21 day hold is enough to get the $2300 safely into a paypal account that otherwise might have been limited for receiving that much at once, or if the account will still be limited due to the spike in $ passing through it, despite the fact that the funds passed the hold period.

That is a definite possibility. Less likely to be an issue if you've done a fair volume of lower value transactions than if you did very few transactions. But the sudden appearance of a big ticket item could raise a flag. If you do this a couple of times, a flag is pretty much certain.
