| | | Kajunrook | 08-03-2018 09:39 AM | News Program About VPN Was watching the news this morning. All about election tampering for past election and the upcoming election. Kept mentioning VPNs and crackdowns on those at Facebook and other social media.
So...…….My last 3 paypals that were limited were on VPN, two IPBurgers and one from a work vpn.
With all the spotlight on VPNs could it be that is why so many paypals are going down, because of VPNs even single use VPNs?
Just a thought. |

It seems not many people are having issues. If there was, this forum would be full of threads about lost paypal accounts. |
| Kajunrook | 08-03-2018 10:01 AM | Re: News Program About VPN I don't know there were 10 post in the last week about paypal limited and probably 100s in the last 45 days, and that is only the ones that posted. Quote:

Just a thought. | I doubt it... I run all my accounts on VPN's I built myself.
If that was the case I'm sure it would be effecting lots of people... Even people that run normal none-stealth PP accounts...
But hypothetically....
If your using a L2TP/IPsec client you could possibly have issues... If your OpenVPN is set up to use default ports you could possibly have issues... If your SoftEther set up is listening on all default ports you could possibly have issues...
But most of those factors are out of your hands unless you building the VPN yourself...
Your issues more than likely have to do with IPv6, webRTC, VPN dropping with no kill switch, or Flash... Maybe even DNS, but I doubt it...
Also could be email client is set up to show images...
There will always be a way for VPN to work... Unless they ban all data center IP's... But then big business will have to stop using their servers for anything PP related... And I don't see that ever happening... |
Re: News Program About VPN as long as its a dedicated clean/fresh ip address only assigned to you that has a ip score of 0 then you should be fine doesn't matter if its VPN or not.
if your talking about shared vpn meaning ur using dirty shared ip addresses in a pool for vpn that is a no no. |

The likelihood is that those 10 users made common mistakes, i.e. selling too quick etc. that caused them to lose the account.
You should be worried when thousands of users start posting about it. I just cant see that happening.
VPN is fine, as mentioned. If you're using fresh IP and still experiencing limitations, it wont be down to VPN, there's more to it. |
| Speeder33 | 08-09-2018 12:46 AM | Re: News Program About VPN Its easier to crack down on VPNs that reuse the IPs 100s of times. Using a dedicated fresh IP should keep you safe on ebay/PP |

| There are less than 3000 active members.
That aside, 10 posts about limited Paypals is not significant on a forum for people that have had accounts suspended / limited. |

But the reason I referenced user count as oppose to active members is because should a catastrophe like this ever arise, it won't be just the active members reporting it, the dormant members will come to life too. ;) |

The only instances when a VPN is not a Data Center IP is when you have a VPN server set up on a HOME or BUSINESS network you want assess to files, workstations, or a secure internet connection. Oh, and maybe your friends home network, or a school network but the later would be highly unlikely to have a connection to the outside internet, so no IP, only files or workstations. | | All times are GMT -5.
