Photo ID/SSN Request After EIN Verification
 

Long story short I added my EIN which was about 6 months old to my stealth account and selected to upgrade to business back in June. I did this before any tax ID request. I also was prompted to add last 4 of ssn which apparently you can add the last 4 of the EIN for. So I did all of that and 2 days later my EIN was approved no issues. I did all of this back in June.

Today comes and I get an email stating they were not able to verify my identity, and I have to add my Tax ID or SSN. The prompt though requests photo ID or ssn card.. not sure if I can call to argue this or am I screwed.

The last thread I saw on something similar people had called in and argued it was for business and they could not enter ssn per cpa.

I dont get why they decide almost 3 months later it wasnt enough.

Your probably going to have to call in and speak to a person. It sucks. Makes me glad eBay is going to do away with paypal.

Who knows if that will be worse.. is there anytime frame when thats happening?

Paypal is full of glitches and there are a few good customer reps.....hidden deep within paypal. Call a few times until you get one

Do I have the right argument though in this case? Any good times to call?

Going to readup a little more on the photo part verification part..

You are going to have the call... and there is never a good time to call. Be prepared for a 1 to 4 hour wait. And yes there are some good reps that will solve the issue asap.

when you are calling if the rep is giving you issues, just hang up as if you got disconnected and try again.

You may get lucky on the next one

PP is glitchy and sometimes you have to try to stay away from those glitches however possible.
