Permanently limited

Hi! I was starting to sell on new US stealth ebay+paypal.
I was selling cheap stuff from 99c stores, some toys, small legos from there, got about 50 sales and then suddenly Paypl was limited on the end of July.
Later have uploaded all requested docs - real receipts, trackings, but have not succeeded with reinstatement.

Is there a chance to call in and talk with them?
What is the best step by step scenario to talk with them?
I will be calling from the same GVoice number that was with this aacount from the beginning. I'm in US.

Account is stealth, pretty new. About 50-60 transactions, between 5-20$, no recent withdrawals, bank account attached.

At this point, calling can't hurt.

Let us know how it goes!

I've found that ignorance/confusion is the best approach with EB/PP. Sounding too informed will raise their suspicions.

I agree. Just think of yourself as a newbie ebayer and that you are trying your best.

Not 100% true - depends on the agent OP gets calling in...might have some luck

!st q is to ask yourself - are my items seen as risky? Digital? Trademarked?

zerocool02 09-20-2018 11:15 AM

Re: Permanently limited

Not digital, items from 99 cents store. Small legos are trademarked

SaiJin 09-20-2018 11:57 AM

Re: Permanently limited

Lego is high risk for sure.

Can you start over with the ebay stealth and start making sales again?

Lego is a very high risk item. Its possible that is the reason that you have been limited on PayPal

Re: Permanently limited

Lego is high risk because its branded?

But then what is there to buy and sell? lol.

I bought a very old and stained BV bag to flip, I was told by an "expert" its original and have a market value of 200$+. Tried listing it on ebay main site and when I put in "Bottega Veneta" it won't let me push thru as I get a prompt saying my account is not yet eligible to sell such items. Its a new stealth I made with 1 feedback. lol.
But when I take off that from the title it goes thru.

What is the ideal time to be able to post branded or high risk items? It says on the prompt I can contact customer service about it, probably to do a review so that they can make me eligible to post such items.

To OP: From what I have read, best way to go about it act shocked why you're account was limited selling on ebay. Paypal will let you appeal it, if the guy on the other line can't help you, kindly ask for their supervisor, and for the most part it will resolve the limitation.

I read a blog about paypal limiting his account, linking it to an unresolved limited account. He talked to paypal and they insisted they have evidences that the account is linked to one another. He talked to a supervisor and he got his paypal back. Although he said he really knows nothing about the other account being linked to his.

Re: Permanently limited

well that's always the million dollar question, isn't it?

There really isn't such thing as an ideal time. It's more of how strong, old and consistent is your account?
Depending on the brand, some are tougher to list then others and some just plain impossible.

Sorry I don't have a straight up answer for you there.

But my advice is always to keep the receipt whenever you wanna sell those brands, I'll even take a photo of the receipt and black out the $ amount and any personal info and post it to the listing m

Re: Permanently limited

Thanks for your insight.

Although can you give me example/s of "just plain impossible" so that I won't bother with those items?

I have read the ebook and it does say history plus feedbacks and having a business ebay and paypal account rather than having a stealth personal/premiere account will be a big help. :)

Rolex
Tiffany
LV

Pretty much all the very high end brands

Re: Permanently limited

Even apple is such a pain, one wrong word in the title and you're toast.

But if that's what you're used to , my suggestion is to talk with the brand owners and actually ask them what's needed so you don't get flagged.
