Paypal is becoming very strict
 

I'm noticing paypal is becoming strict limiting my accounts left and right due to a spike in price increase keep in mind i sell nothing above $15 and NEVER had this issue before until this week different user id mifi hotspot i'm using and the trend i'm noticing if i sell 20 items for $10 and then a couple of items after than sells for $20 because of buyers buying double quanity and also shipping which is $1 paypal limits me right away its very stressful and don't know what to do at this point..... Any else experiencing this trend

The reasons you THINK that limited your account may not be what actually did.

As I understand it, you diddn't have this issue before until this week, but what else may have changed other than the mifi hotspot user?

Did you do anything out of the ordinary? Any recent disputes/claims/refunds?

Nothing at all... for example 1 of my eBay/ paypal aged account i had i sold 30 items $10 a piece in a 3 week span i had a guy tonight from egypt that purchase one of my items for $10 $1 shipping 2 minutes later PAYPAL LIMITS ME that happened to like 3 of my accounts

This is normal paypal procedure, since you are new user, they 9 of 10 times limit your account and ask such documents. Just upload what they need and wait.
This happening same with European paypal accounts. :ranger:

What Cikog wrote above is largely correct.

Very often PayPal will limit once a given transaction volume is reached than ask for those items if they don't already have them.

Give them what they are requesting and you should be good to go assuming there are no other issues on the account.

May be the price is your problem. Make listings with low quantity and you can use auction too. Don't rush things and make slow sales with "used" cheap, low risk items.

yeah but don't you find it strange it doesn't happen at all from jan-sept i made TONS of money the first 3 quarters of the yr ..... just starting happening this month and $1-10 increase lol come on just all the way weird to me but i'mma keep create accounts and try to out gun paypal

Like eBay, PayPal doesn't apply their rules consistently, nor evenly.

I've sometimes been able to literally push thousands of $ through a new PP that's less than 30 days old with no request/limitation. On the other hand, I'll have an account get hit with the invoice/ID request with less than $50 in sales selling the SAME items as the first account.

Yeah, I had a guy buy 5 fifteen dollar items, and 3 twelve dollar items. Acct opened 4 months total of $500 in sales ($100 a month first 3 months) and IMMEDIATELY got limited asking for invoices and ID

I've gotten so used to the ID/invoice requests for PP, I actually expect them and don't fear them because I consider them normal. In fact, once the account has ID on file, I found it's much stronger than an account that never received a limitation before.

I know exactly what you mean

On some of my accounts i'm selling items the same value as you, then I get carried away and sell too many and boom, the pp is limited(we have noticed a significant change in your selling activity...blah waffle)

What I do is list low quantity and keep relisting, also don't put free shipping that way customers are less likely to order more than one.

You also need to build up as much FB on the Ebay as possible, and if your paypal account is aged with payments received some time ago then all the better.

Also, of course, have plenty of stealth accounts so when one goes down, you are pissed off, but immediately start selling on the other

i just Don't understand the last 4 months I've made great money and this week paypal limitation to 4 of my accounts in a week span SMH

OK, so this is entering the holiday season, not just PP, but other platforms are having difficulties as well.

The good news is it's a lot easier to diversify with Paypal and eBay.

One thing to do to test if it's your MIFI is use your regular home IP (that's unused of course) on a back up account, just that 1 account and do as you did and see if it gets the same treatment.

yes its very frustrating I've had a great 4 months and this week has been the worse 4 paypal accounts limited on some bs and i do my norm

Could be because the run up to Christmas, extra strict criteria to make sure people's presents turn up.

If accounts worth saving then send ID, otherwise slow and steady, maybe 2 x $15 items a day for first week, 4 x second week, etc.

I'm seriously. Go look at the latest replies on the "COMT" thread before it's deleted.

EDIT - nevermind, it's gone. Basically there is tons of Paypal fraud on the darknet and PP is loosing bookoo bucks on it.

Yeah i think i'll try that thanks SAX4 Also Quick Question one thing i notice also maybe its just me but i have a verizon mifi jetpack and my ip address i always get a new jersey ip address its not the same ip but its the same area in new jersey i hope thats not the case
