Good luck. There aren't many valid explanations for why your "friend" just sent you $1250.

This is always the problem with F&F payments.

Best thing you can say is that you lent them cash and they were repaying you.

Welcome to the forum - all the best as you master stealth :thumb:

F&F transfers are very risky OP - source of the funds also can contribute to trouble if a risky sale or so

There is. I've paid family members pre-stealth days that sort of money as I owed them, and their account ended up getting limited. These were all 100% genuine accounts too.

Never understood why till I started getting to grips with the forum, and learning how PayPal's risk system works.

The moral of the story is, if you owe anyone a large sum of money, stick to paying them cash or bank transfer. PayPal is just not a viable option, especially if they haven't received that sort of money through their account before.

Nope, wouldn't solve the problem. The issue here is that the recipient account wasn't used to getting such large sums of money. Eventually they got it reinstated, but there was a lot of faffing around, i.e. explaining to paypal if a family member owes you money, you don't necessarily invoice them! so cannot provide any proof of invoices etc.

I've read through the posts, and they make perfect sense.

My response has nothing to do with what the OP said, I quoted you, and I was implicitly replying to you. That's how quotes work. ;)

If you don't do anything, your amounts should be accessible in 180 days...most of the time, it's like this
