PayPal requesting Credit Check & SS not limited yet
HI,
I'm new to the forum so here is a quick background. Ive been selling since march about $500-1000 a week. Just recently I got invited to the Silver Power Seller. The last 2 weeks I had $2000/week, this week I had a little over $3000 in sales. Then I get this from paypal, but im still able to send/receive $ from my ebay sales:
Message from PayPal:
[/LIST]Jul. 17, 2009: PayPal occasionally performs credit checks on selected account holders. Your account has been selected to go through this process. We must complete a credit review in order for the warning on your account to be lifted. In most cases, the account holder's personal credit is analyzed using a Social Security number and an address likely to generate a match with a credit bureau. Please log into your PayPal account to provide this information. If an examination of your business credit would be more appropriate, please contact our customer service department to supply your Tax ID number.
What can I do while my account is being reviewed?
* receive payments
* add funds by an electronic funds transfer
* send or request money
* withdraw funds from your account
What can't I do while my account is being reviewed?
* close your account So I still have full access to my account receive/send payment.
Now this is what they want:
Jul. , 2009 Confirm Social Security number(Alternatives available) Waiting for your response Resolve
Jul. , 2009 Set credit check address Waiting for your response
1. The Ebay/Paypal are linked. What happens if I just use a different paypal acct with the same Ebay and ignore there request?
2. I don't have negative credit history I just have very little. What would happen if I submit the information. Will they request something else or does it depend on my future sales for it to trigger again?
3. I have a $ transfer to my bank pending. Should I let it go through 1st before responding?
4. How many days do they wait before I must send a response?
5. Also if I call them is the process different, and what do I tell them?
Thanks!
