PayPal limited - will they put documents through a check?
 

Hi all, newbie here.

I have a question on a limited non-steath account; I believe I’ve hit the PayPal sending/receiving limits, and they have requested verification. I’ve provided bank acc + address however I am in a slight dilemma with “verifying proof of Id”.

When setting up paypal I couldn’t use my actual DOB so I made up one (slightly older) so my passport and paypal DOB data wont match (the name is the fine though).

Reading the forum I learnt about getting creative work done for the docs however more recent posts have talked about XXXX passports being rejected as PayPal now check the code on the passport on a database...

What options do I have - If I get creative with my own passport is there a chance it’ll go through a check and my actual DOB would appear?

I don’t have a drivers license but would a XXXX drivers license be a better form of ID or can they also check that too?

I’ve got around £250 in that account and wish to start eBay stealth using these funds in the near future! Thank you for reading, I hope I’ll receive some guidance here as to what would be the best steps to take :yar: .

Just tell them you entered the DOB wrong when you signed up.

My actual DOB (on my passport) would lead my account to be closed down I was under 18 when I created the PayPal account which goes against their rules: Aged 18 or over to open an account.

They do check the DOB given and work out how old you were when you made the account, even if you’re 18+ while verifying - my friends account was closed because of this.
