nickopedia | 05-13-2019 02:03 PM | Re: paypal dont release my fund after 180 days! Some people think the 180 day mark is some drop dead date that PayPal MUST release your funds. The truth is, they can keep your money indefinitely if they think you violated their User Agreement.
Refer to the link below and read the section 9.4a (Risk-Based Holds): https://www.paypal.com/in/webapps/mp...reement-full#9 *** WARNING - PAYPAL LINK ***
The relevant part is: "(b) PayPal believes that you have violated the terms of this Agreement or any other Policy and that such a violation results in the need to continue holding the funds, or (c) PayPal believes that you may be engaging in potentially fraudulent or suspicious activity and/or transactions. In such an event, PayPal may continue holding the payment in your Account until the matter is resolved pursuant to this Agreement."
If PayPal is citing this in their UA to keep your money past the 180 days, your other obstacle is going to be to prove it's your account if it's stealth.
Typically there are administrative and legal options, but those only apply if you can prove identity. |

haroon.y | 05-29-2019 12:30 PM | Re: paypal dont release my fund after 180 days! I had my PayPal account closed in November, and was told that the 180 days would start from there. I had £604.50 in my balance which I could not touch.
It was closed due to my ID not being valid, I assume. I have since waited until now to get my money out.
Yesterday was that golden 180th day, so I rang up PayPal and they were quite helpful (surprisingly) and proceeded to tell me that the back-office will contact in up to 5 days on instruction to withdraw.
Today I got that email, and they are asking for my forms of ID, i have emailed, tweeted and rang them explaining that I am not going to provide it, and that the money should be released, to which BS responses kept coming back, like we have to make sure it you.
When on the phone, I hinted the legal options I have, and they proceeded to explain I can give my birth certificate to which I went angry at.
Can anyone recommend a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ ID service that works for a situation like this. A passport or birth certificate is what I need.
Thanks |
