Hit with a Paypal Limitation
 

Today i was hit with a Paypal Limitation and my ebay account was restricted .

Paypal want me to fax or upload the following:

1: Proof of delivery for 4 selected transactions

2: supplier contact information

3: Proof of purchase reciepts for the 4 selected transactions above .

4: Proof of address

5: Photo ID (Passport and drivers licence)


My problem is that i have none of the above and my account is in stealth details (fal.se name / address etc) .
Will let you know how i get on.........

im in the same boat except my accounts are with my real info..i hope it gets unlimited

The same thing happened to me with over 600.00 in it. I tried just about everything I could to get it unlimited with no luck.

If you can't provide the info you will have to wait 180 days to get your money out.

I have less than 30 days to go.

You can either

1- Wait 180 days
2- Be creative with the documentation they need.

Edit: I don't know if they check if the passport is valid in the UK. Here, I submitted info and they just look if the photo on the ID matches the one on file. You'll have to wait for other UK users to help.

Name and DOB need to match account info (and address on Drivers license).

I suspect they record passport/license numbers but are unable to verify them.

For security / safety reasons i can't divulge the exact method .

All i can say is that i am now reinstated and fully verified.

I have allready withdrawn my money.

Honestly, why would we spill our secrets out in the open for paypal to see, thereby limiting anyone's future capabilities in using those techniques? :doh:

Well, it's bad form to come in and gloat without at least giving a hint.

May as well say what happened. He gave paypal the requested documents. That was it. Nothing spectacular.Nothing new. Surprised about this really;)

I'm not sure because i don't deal with US ebay /Paypal , but i keep hearing peole mention on this site that when a paypal account is limited in th US paypal now have the right to ask for social securit numbers to confirm identity .
If this was the case then it would be extreamly hard for people to open up stealth ebay accounts for a l0ong period of time.
Thinking about it , it's probably B.ull. s.h..it , people say alot of things on this site and only half the time they are right !

I'm sure US paypal would love to ask for people ss numbers however it would be an invasion of their rights , would'nt it ?

^^^What are you waffling on about? paypal US has been asking for the SSN for years. They have covered themselves well in their Terms & Conditions & you should hope that nothing similar happens in the UK.

You really think think that a spy from Paypal has not subscribed ?
LOL, that's ridiculous.

A Paypal spy could be anyone , much more likely to be subscribed than not not .
Paypal are a huge company so i'm betting they have 2 or 3 spy's on this site .

When you think information is safe in the subcribed areas it is'nt , this is probably where the Paypal spy's source all there information from.

They could be anyone , it is not me who needs to be careful it is you others

I've made a few 'diagnostic' posts. And #30 seems to be correct.

It means I posted some info in the wee hours of the night. Then deleted the post a few hours later. Then checked occasionally to see if PP made changes based on the info in my temporary post. They did.
