Completed requirements... now what?
 
I got my paypal account limited because someone actually hacked into my account and transfer money.

They wanted me to complete actions such as

1. updated phone number
2. confirm address

They never asked me to ask for ID or invoices...

I got the letter from paypal for verification of address. and submited the numbers... I see all the requirements are done. but unlike their promise, automatic reinstate. they said they initiated the review.

do you know how long it will take to reinstate?

I got bunch of buyers waiting for my items. I do not want to ship out first before I got money in my hands.

With PayPal you never know.. It may take weeks, even months.
Just don't become impatient and start emailing them every three days - that will not speed up things for you.
Be patient and just give them what they want and than ...wait.

It usually only takes 24-48 hours. I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I always call them on the phone to talk about it, then while on the phone, I send everything they want before I hang up. Not counting the time spent on hold, it usually takes less than 30 minutes.

thats smart because from my previous experiances...they always say just send this document in and we will automatically reinstate your account...ye right, after i sent that document they needed, it ended up being 9 more other things....and also i think when you request them to stay over the phone while you send the stuff through paypal. they say ohh we need to wait 10 hours which is a load of crap :ranger:

Be polite and professional, convey your concern for the circumstance , and give the impression that you are diligent about following through to completion. And keep them on the phone.

When this sort of limitation happens, it is better to liaise directly with paypal as vicvelcro said....
after all it is YOUR account, and this terrible thing happened. To do this you need all your info about the account. You need to be polite but firm. After all you just love paypal :rolleyes: paypal may be the bogey man but at times even the bogey mans needs to be tackled. If you made the phone call, likely the account would now be unlimited :peace:

If you don't like to call them, then it's hard to say a time frame, it really depends how "serious" the case is in PP eyes. Most cases can be resolved normally though some are not, some decisions must made by a few people on the Omaha fraud team. If someone on the fraud team marked a note say "no appeals" you are pretty much done. Their team will not even try to lift the limited access on your account but will continue to ask you that you need to fax in all kinds documentations to wear you out.
