Sorry, something’s not right. Please try again later

I am repeatedly getting this error, I have tried numerous different methods to try and get my money out from a limited paypal (180 days passed).

What I've tried

Waiting 72 hours.
New IP.
"Help > Options to withdraw"
Resetting password
Withdrawing small amounts (less than 1% of the balance)
Paypal Mobile APP.

I need help!!

This is an issue - have you tried different browser? Get off of the phone?

Have tried several different browsers, Opera, Firefox, Google Chrome, Internet explorer as well as the mobile phone app. I was able to just withdraw a small amount )£0.14, however when I tried to withdraw £20 it came up with the same error.

This is normal security flaw. You need to wait 72 hours and try again.

I've tried waiting, building up cookies. I've been able to do one small withdrawal (less than £0.20), after trying to do a bigger withdrawal after (£20) the same error persists.

I don't know where you are in EU, but have yo tried to call PP and if you have a bank account already attached, they should be able to withdraw it for you if you're having issues

Had this exact same thing happen to me. Tried calling in. Got routed to the accounts department or whatever it's called. They seemed to have no idea whats going on, then the phone got disconnected mid-call

Now I can't login to the paypal because it is asking for security verification on a phone I no longer have.

I am unable to call them, I've been back and forth with emails and they said in 1-3 days they're going to email me as they're going to allow me to withdraw it, however that was on sunday and i've still not heard back with a follow-up email.

Anyone able to further shed some light on this matter?

I'm having this issue right now and it appears it is getting this error because they are asking for my SSN or EIN.

Did you start the process of converting to a business account?

How much in sales have you sold?

So, I emailed them on one of the accounts asking to withdraw (paypal support is stupid, in 5 emails I had 5 different employees assess my matter). They were all co-operative until the last email, the 4th email stated "i've handed it over to the relevant department, they will inform you in 1-3 days when you can withdraw the money in your bank". To the last email being (5 days after) "you can't withdraw until you provide proof of id, explain activity on your account, business information.

The account is not US, however it has around $600 in balance.

So basically they lied about holding your money for only 180 days and now try to keep it.

Were you limited due to counterfeit issues or was it something else?

I've logged into the account, it has stated the reasons for limitation here and their dates:

XX Dec 2014: We need some more information about some of your recent sales.

XX Dec 2014: When you signed up for your PayPal account, you agreed to our User Agreement and Acceptable Use Policy. Because some of your recent transactions violated this policy, we've had to permanently limit your account.

Please remove any references to PayPal from your website.

You'll be able to withdraw any money in your account 180 days after your last transaction. We'll email you when it's ready to be withdrawn.

XX Mar 2018: Our system detected unusual activity associated with your account.

can happen if:

- you have a new pp account-
- you want to send money to a new pp account
- you used a different ip or different browser
- you want to send a high amount
- you just received a high amount of money and make a transaction right afterwards

best is to wait 7 days, in some cases only 1-3 days are ok

important is that you dont try to send again and again even you receive that error, you might have to wait even longer or asked to upload documents then

PP accounts are from 2015
They are limited - unable to send money only withdraw to new bank
ip and browser are same
i do low amounts each time
haven't recieved any money since 2015

I have (will admit) I have persistently tried to withdraw, this may also be a factor in the reasoning behind the issue, but unlikely as even when i try to make my first withdrawal I have this issue.

How long have you been trying to withdraw? Since 2015?

Recently, accounts limited in 2015, attempted to withdraw 2019 around August.
