$1000 Sale
 

I have an 18 month old paypal, $8500 in sales ytd. Several $100 sales this year. No problem at all. I have a good customer that wants to buy $1000 of one item and bill my paypal. The last time I did this with a different paypal that was 11 months old, I got an immediate request for Id, etc and lost it. I am hesitant to lose this one as it is attached to my best account. What are the odds they will ask for ID, which I do not have.

Chances are pretty high on an account with such a low total volume. If you don't have a bigger PP you can use, I'd probably insist on a different payment method.

yOU can send multiple invoices,like 3 x 333.33,he would not get buyer protection.
or do it outside PAYPAL,like Western Union or money order or postal order.
You can offer to pick up the fee,
if this is repeat customer,you can find his Paypal email address from past transaction and send him multiple invoices

$1000 per one sale is not good decision. He WILL open case even PP will not block you

Update I cancelled sale and they are sending me a certified check.
