You have to keep your phone active after 6mo so they can send a text to the phone number attached to your account.

Not true at all. I just withdrew my money after 180 days. As long as you have kept your cookies, there is no verification.

I already had a bank account on the account also.

Is this paypal US? I'm starting to worried now. I'm using paypal Canada.

What you must understand is PayPal in any country has T&C or Terms and Conditions.

But these are written down. They are hard to understand as well.

They contain info we need to know when using PayPal.

That's okay though I got a lot of information since I found out about it and I'm in the process of getting a "Demand Letter" drawn up and I heard about 98% of the time they not only respond to it but they cave in on giving you your money back because they want to avoid a possible lawsuit and losing more money than they owe to you.

I'll see how this goes and update you guys on how it goes.

Hey, what is that Demand letter ? can you shed some light on it. Do you have any update ?

A demand letter is a formal, professional document sent by one party to another requesting payment or other action to right a wrong. Basically, in this case, it's sent to PayPal's legal department to give them one last chance to agree to a settlement to return the money that they've withheld us through their limitation practices before our lawyers construct a lawsuit against them and take them to court.

Demand letters are taken seriously due to the fact that we have the option of sueing them for keeping our money away from us.

The letter is being sent to their offices this week so I might have an update on it next week.

I have heard some nightmare stories over the years of people not getting the email or being able to withdraw their funds once they've completed the 180 days so I'm nervous right now that I could be one of those people.

I hope everything goes smooth and I can finally withdraw my money. I'm planning on calling at least once before that day just to reconfirm that everything will go as planned and no funny business of keeping it limited after this week.

Has anybody here actually gotten the email or been able to withdraw their funds to their bank on-time as soon as their 180 days are over?

I had many times accounts limited with 180 days and before it reached the 180-waiting-period, I received an email that I could take out the funds. I had also option to add my bank account. So far no issues with that.

Can you sue them if it's stealth account?

Makes me wonder what you were selling, AUP limitations rarely keep your money. Unless it's some super shady stuff.... I have one limited from selling CBD products. I am curious if it'll let me withdraw or not, not quite at 6 months yet. We'll see

Re: Has anybody actually been able to withdraw their money after 180 days?

This just happened to me - 1 week before my 180 days were up they took $8k from my account to themselves. I’m at a loss of words, I’m a single mother of 3 who sold used clothing- they never told me why I was permanently limited but I stuck it out and didn’t fight it. I called last month and all my money was there and they said Dec 11th Id receive an email- got nothing today. Checked my PayPal and everything was withdrawn with memo Payment to: Paypal; PayPal's damages caused by Acceptable Use Policy violation. I’m so sick. I have no clue what to do, this money was originally saved to get a car since mine died, and I used savings thinking I would get my money back in early December and now this. They took ALL OF IT ON Dec 4th. I called and first rep said to email aup@paypal.com, no info given. Called again and 2nd rep said she would escalate for them to send me email to withdraw but I guess she didn’t see they already stole my money. I’m lost right now.

FYI- The permant limitation came the day after I took 5k out for a down payment on the car. They are ****ing thieves. Please if anyone is doing something about this or has any info let me know. I’m crying thinking about how this is going to affect my children and my life. $8k is so much
Money and I wish I withdrew it all but I can’t go back.

PLEASE HELP

Hi all. Going through the same thing. Just about ready to pull the trigger on the letter of demand. My business is legit so I have definite fair claim. NorthPoleWarehouse, do you have any updates on your letter of demand? Is this a waste of time or..?

I'm so sorry to hear that ;-(
PP is really becoming so a b********
Recently, I had around 500 USD on account, which I had completely forgotten. 1 year later (after the 180 days) I checked the account, I had received 6 months earlier an email to withdraw. I added the bank successfully but I couldn't withdraw these funds till today. I called them many times, and every time I have been told a different story.

I just got $15k out in 3 days. No issues with me.

I just got "you are eligible to withdraw" today. Just withdrew $800. Waiting to see if it will arrive safely in bank account or paypal will be a douche and reverse it.

Re: Has anybody actually been able to withdraw their money after 180 days?

I was able to withdraw way after 180 days. It was a reasonable amount of money as well. New computer, ip address and everything. I did withdraw to the same bank account though. They never sent an email saying I was eligible either. I had to call and request.
