Stealth 3450 EUR - PayPal won't release after 180 days
 

Hi everyone.

My stealth account got closed on april 16th, the 180 days expired on October 9th but they still won't let me withdraw my funds.

The account is Italian

Called them multiple times and obviously got a lot of conflicting responses.
First they asked id and proof of residence.
The proof of residence was accepted but they keep refusing my stealth italian id card. Some said it was "unreadable", some said the photo on the id wasn't good?

Yesterday evening I've sent an email (to service@paypal.com, if I should send it to other addresses please tell me) explaining the situation and the fact that I only have these documents, and if the picture on the documents is OK for the Italian State, it has to be OK for PayPal aswell, and if they won't release the funds I'll be proceeding by leagal means. (tho I obviously can't, since it's a stealth account.)

Hi, welcome to the forum.

Did you received the email from PayPal stating that the account is actually closed?

Were the submitted documents in line with account details?

Hello.
Not really sure if the proper word would be frozen or closed, but I'm attaching a screenshot of the email (which is in italian but they basically say that they decided to conclude our contractual business because of high risk)

Yes, the documents matched the account details. Only ""sketchy"" thing about the document was the photograph of the guy, which is not exaclty a mugshot but you can still see the entire face.

Ok, good it seems that is the email from PayPal but obviously they smell a "funny" ID and that's not good for PayPal.

I guess emails doesn't work that much... you shouls try to call in unless you find some good fellow who is willing to release your funds

What do I do now? Do I wait for a reply to my email or do I call them and basically explain everything I wrote in the email?

bump. made a stealth passport and sent it to them. called to get it verified and the lady on the phone said that they have ""tools"" to check the documents and it was not valid. didn't specify why, of course.
can you give me any help?

of course they can verify passport,where did you get the idea of faking passport?
Every time I return to the States,they waste no time to type my passport number into a data base.
If they want to give you a hard time,they can ask you the most irrelevant questions like why do you travel so much?
What did you have for breakfast this morning?

I also have a stealth UK account with 1000 GBP and wait for the 28th to 180 days.

hope it doesn't happen like this.

Hi,
i had the situation 2 times. Call them admit what you did. They verify the documents if they are real.

My outcome was for the first time:
i told them i have sent them ⊗⊗⊗⊗ docs and they told me to send the real ones. i did that and they released the money (2100 EUR)

for the second time i called them and said i sent them ⊗⊗⊗⊗ docs they told me to send real ones, i did it, they ignored it. I called 5 times over the period of 1 month and they told me every time they will take care of it. nothing happened

I made a complaint to http://www.cssf.lu/en/consumer/complaints/ and explained them the situation (i didnt tell them i sent ⊗⊗⊗⊗ docuemtns). After 2 weeks they answered me i have to contact paypal escalation first which is under crc@paypal.com

I did that and they released the money after 2 days.

Do not be stupid and make a complaint from a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name. it is very easy to verify if your ⊗⊗⊗⊗ document is ⊗⊗⊗⊗ or not. Do not contact the paypal escalation if you are not willing to reveal your true data.

I also face the same issue. I have an account with over 15k gbp. I have been calling them various of times with the number that i used to call them with. They every time say they will help me out and i need to wait 48 hours, nothing happens. They have told me other times that they will send the request to the back office and i should soon receive an email with updates, but got zero emails so far. I haven't got so much patience to play with them... Already 200+ days have passed and they are still playing games.. I really need the help of the aspkin community. I bought the account on the forum

So yesterday I sent them an "updated" driver's license, with a proper mugshot this time.
Called today and basically wasted 40 minutes of my time on hold.
The guy gave me the same "documents weren't accepted bla bla the department told me so bla bla can't tell you more" and to be fair the guy on the phone sounded kinda confused, like if he didn't know what he was talking about, but anyway I was not surprised.

I don't know what to do now, I was considering the option of telling them i sent phake documents, but I'm not sure. Should I contact crc@paypal.com and what should I write?

What were the initial reasons your paypals abruptly got closed down ? that could be the root of the problem here.

First payment (the 3450 euros) received. Above 2500 eur.
No disputes whatsoever from the buyer. All went smoothly.

I am in the same position as you :( Every time they waste our time. Now i have received an email where they say that an executive is looking into my case.

Call Them first and tell them you created it on a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ name and really sorry for everything and want to send your real docs to verify your identity.
They will send you a link where you can upload the docs.

Now they will either unfreeze your funds or ignore it. if they ignore it for 3 days call again. If they ignore it again make a complain to crc@paypal.com

if they ignore the complain aswell (never head that they can ignore a formal complain) make a complain to cssf.

Even if it is not a good thing to use ⊗⊗⊗⊗ idenetiys you can proof that the money is yours. cssf will decide in your favor for 100%

Just realized now that one problem with revealing my true data would be that I'm a minor. (turning 18 in june)

Technically you still have a chance, since your documents were denied you have not proven your identity so you can prove that it is your money.

That makes you not eligble to use paypal. however the money is still yours.

Yeah but even if I intend to reveal my identity, won’t they still hold it since I’m a minor and thus I’m not eligible to use paypal?

Why would he have a chance if he wasn't a minor??? Earlier you guys gave him advice to file the cssr thing.. Because you still can prove that the money is yours. But now...??

The thing is that in fact this was not even my account. It was created by my brother (22) in april (it wasn't his first stealth so idk why he decided to make a sale for that much value as it's first transaction. It was a watch and it was sold on ebay). He died in july so now I was trying to take care of it myself.
