Does paypal record ebay seller ID? - Complicated Situation
 

Ok so my situation is a bit weird.

I have an old paypal account that still works, linked to my bank and with incorrect address but with ss on it.

The new paypal became limited for no good reason (more on this later) and it has been 4 months now, I haven't bothered. I still have pp credit on it that is inuring interest, it also has my ss, but isnt linked to bank or working card.

What would happen if I connect my old paypal to ebay, would it also be flagged?

What happened: I sold an item that I said in the description it had a high price (which it did) and they flagged me for fraud, blocked phone number. Then pp credit wanted their money, told them pp blocked me, they redirected me to cs and the guy basically told me to mail HQ about my situation, but I haven't done it because im worried doing so would lead to my old pp being blocked as well. So what's the best course of action here I'm at a loss. I can also start a new ebay with the old pp.

your 2 Paypal accounts both have your SSN??

Sounds like you need to pay back PP credit so they don't look deeper into your accounts.

No it will not be flagged. However i suggest to change paypal email address.

True. I have seen many people using the same paypal email to receive payments on their different ebay accounts and there was no issue was that.
Note that PAYPAL account was not linked directly, instead it was added as payment email in the listings. It's not the same.

You should read your Paypal credit agreement ,if your Paypal account has been suspended,what would they do?
Did it mention Synchrony Bank?

Yes. Sorry for not being clear. The Cs guy mentioned I have two accounts because of it I believe.

what is the reason for restricting your Paypal account after you sold a high price item on Ebay?
where is the sales proceed now from that high price item?

The item was returned and he had to call pp to get his refund. The system automatically flagged the sale because the title of the item had said $6000 and was sold for $900 , but the buyer returned it, his returning it caused my account to be restricted. I have contacted customer support on the website but they basically said they looked into it, decided to keep the ban. When synchrony Bank called I told him I couldn't pay them then they transferred me to PayPal customer service and the guy there just said it was automatically flagged and noted I have two accounts. He told me to write up a letter up to some address about what had happened, but I'm worried sending them a letter would trace back to my old account and I would end up with no accounts.

Does PayPal tag by eBay stores? If I change the store name can I connect the store to my old PayPal? It used to be connected to it but that was years ago.

Well I'd love to but I'd need to get the store running again.
