Personal info on limited account
 

Hi,

My account has been limited for the past few years, so it's been a long time now. They are of course refusing to close my account and there's nothing I can do with it anymore.

My question is regarding the personal info they have on the account (name, address, bank, etc). They said that the account info will be stored on their system. Is this safe?? Can they use the info and can I ask them to remove them??

You can ask that the info be removed and they will refuse to remove it.

If you are extremely concerned about the issue, you can try to get a court order mandating the removal of your information from the system. If your request is granted by the court, there is no recourse other than the removal of your information.

It is not an easy or rapid process and there is no assurance that a court will decide in your favor.

Or,worse, you can ask them to remove it: they will say of course. Then they leave all the info on file and do nothing about your request.

That's a daft question. Are you inferring that paypal might have some conspiracy and commit identity theft?
