Adding BA after 180 days
 

Anyone know how to add a bank account to a limited Paypal account that has reached the 180 day mark and that already has a previous BA attached? So for example: I have about 30 PP accounts that have reached the 180 day mark with TD bank accounts attached. I dont use TD bank anymore for other reasons. I cant seem to be able to add any other bank accounts. PP wont let me remove the TD accounts and Ive tried calling to add the new accounts via the automated service with PP. Hope that makes sense. Thanks in advance for the help

From what I know your only chance at this point is to try to call and have a rep add it manually. Unfortunately those reps in many cases are aholes about it and will refuse to do so without some sort of identity verification...

It may take a year or two or three even. It can be really hard to add a new bank account and you can never remove anything from a limited account.

Years ago in this case you could request a check. That almost never works anymore. Even if you get everything to go through, the check never shows up and you have to start the process going 6+ months later.

How much money in each account?

Sometimes after a year+ waiting, you can log in and send the money out to another account. I had two like this from 2015 I recently was able to do this on.

The only method that works most of the time is adding a REAL debit card and instant withdraw. Not worth the efforts on small balances.

30 PP stealth accounts restricted?
if he can get a real debit card ,it is probably worth trying

we dont know how much is the balance in each account,some may not be worth the efforts,only OP knows.

Btw, you can solve this issue changing BA attached within a phone call, my operators have such experience

Having the same problem as the original poster. I received the 180-day email saying I can withdraw my funds(USA Paypal account) and I have a bank account ready to add. I've called tech support 3 times so far and have been told to call back in 48 hours, wait for an email, and just been outright refused.

Can anyone give some specific advice how to get past level 1 tech support and get my bank account added?

Irrelevant question. Don't have the option to add a bank account, let alone be denied because of a name mismatch. I'm calling PP weekly but keep getting the same runaround.

Again, if anyone has any idea how to convince these Indians at the call center to remove the security lock on bank account adding, please post or pm.

no.
see,after 180 days,if your existing bank account is active,you should have no problem transferring fund to that bank account.
But if you want to add a new account,then they are not sure if you are the legit owner of the account since 180 days have come and gone,they want assurance you are the legit owner of that Paypal account.
