Now I know I need to first buy the book before I do business...))

The book will help you more than you can imagine. When a significant update is released, you'll be entitled to the update at no extra cost. Plus it gives you a few months status as a subscriber, which opens up more information here on the forum. All the way around, it's a good thing.

Ebay fees related

Ebay says if I dont pay fees on the 30th day its invoiced my account will be on HOLD. I chatted three times and got three different answers regarding what HOLD means.

a) You cant list but can sell and face all paypal problems.
b) You cant list and CANT SELL also.

I sent an email to resolve at ebay But they say they cant help with the hold.

The information I gave earlier is the most accurate you are likely to find. The dates and grace period may not be exact to the day but usually are.

If you get OMARCP'd, you can't list. Technically you should be able to sell any listings that are already active, but truth is, all your listings will be be cancelled and ALL fees will become due and payable immediately. Then PP will limit your account and hit you will the full MONTY for verification of everything.

Is this normal or a bad sign

I submit tracking numbers and all the invoices basically good supplier but clearly dropshipping.
I call just now and the customer service guy directs me to the "specialist" in Limitations. She goes through all of them for 15 Min and says " I will send this to the review department and you should know of the result in 24Hrs"

What does this mean I keep thinking. Why did not the "specialist" lift the limitation . A "review" is that dangerous.

Vicvelcro 09-15-2009 06:15 PM

Not necessarily a bad thing, so far.

If they intended to nuke you right away, it wouldn't be getting passed upward.

What they are probably concerned with is the drop-shipping. It's a risky thing, in their eyes. They see it as - you selling items you don't have direct control over, which is one extra level of complexity and increases the likelihood that something can go wrong with the order. If the tracking checks out fine, you may be ok. If they've got statistics on your supplier that show a series of problems for others in the past, they'll tell you to stop using that supplier and you may be fine.

What do I tell my customers.

Its been 5 days of limitations. Its not lifted yet. What do I tell my customers when the limitation is lifted(???) for the delay in shipping.

rob 09-16-2009 12:25 PM

Its more than 36Hrs of saying

"You will get a result of the review in 24 Hrs"
Does this mean something.

Good NEWS

The review dept said they will lift the restriction today.
I guess all this was because I listed more than 50,000 items in the second month of my ebay account.Everything was legit so all is fine now.

It would not have been possible without your valuable advice.
Need the book badly.
