Permenant paypal limitatation help 178th day 15KUSD
 

Hi there everyone, I hope everyone is doing safe and well during Covid-19, I would just like to ask couple of questions :-

1) My PayPal was limited on November 7 2019, I had about 15k USD inside and I only use this PayPal for buying / donating purpose. The transaction which involved such a huge transaction was a friend repaying me back for a holiday trip.

2) I had sold one pair of shoes in august 2019 that's about it ( for selling )

3) I had a card linked which expired this April and was scared that Paypal won't let me attach a bank, but it still did so that's great

4) Just scared about the fact that I have seen a lot of people's money being stolen from PayPal is that true, should I be worried about it?



Please any replies would be great as this money is my only hope get through this rough time. Thank you for your replies in advance.

your good, main thing is to keep cookies, confirm bank, and keep phone active. and dont link with any other accounts or ips that have been abused.

What answer are you looking for? Maybe they will release your money, maybe they won't.

You don't sell on the account. Only make charitable donations and buy using it. And then a friend paid you back 15k for a holiday trip ? sounds like money laundering to me. No wonder paypal limited the account.

They don't limit accounts out of thin air. They have reasons.

You will just have to wait 180 days and hope the funds are released. Nobody knows what new policy they will conjure up in the next 6 months.

Welcome to the master stealth.
As everyone saying, wait few more days and see if they open it for you automatically.
If not you may need to get creative. We can't say because only the paypal staff who handle this will be doing the favor (or not) for you.

OP is already on the 179th day according to the thread title.

@OP - if they haven't transferred all of your money to themselves yet when you're 1 day away from 180 days, I doubt they will now. I can't say for sure though since I've never had funds stolen through "AUP violations."

I'd appreciate if you could let us know how it goes for you tomorrow, or whenever you are given the option to withdraw.

AUP violation is $2500 per violation,search past threads.
But then we dont know the reason why Paypal restricted his account-he said his friend refunded him 15K on some vacation trip?

On my 179th day, can't withdraw yet :P I keep trying...

None of my money is yet taken away for AUP violation, so hopefully they don't screw me over with that.

They're not going to keep your money because you did not violate AUP.
Why is anyone bringing that up in this thread?

There are some sellers who get email saying you get your fund after 180 days and then Paypal said AUP violation and kept the money.
Since OP did not tell us what reason did Paypal give to limit his account,so hopefully it is not AUP violation.
OP said his friend gave him $15K for part of the trip they took together.and since he does not sell much but use the account for buying and donation,one assumes that $15K caught Paypal attention.
YoU know PAYPAL keeps an eye on F & F .

Those sellers would have violated AUP. If we go by what OP has posted, there isn't a chance he's been limited for anything of the sort - therefore he'd be getting his money back.
By the way, the AUP is a short, straightforward read.

The list of violation is a mile long-narcotics,arms,sex,pyramid schemes,financail products,copyright,trademark.off shore banking,moeny orders,travelloer checks,what bothers me is this=
SALE OF CERTAIN ITEMS BEFORE SELLER HAVE THE ITEM?
iT DID Not say what kind of item?
a spoon?a rig? London tower?tank car?

Good evening everyone,

I had sold a pair of high end sneakers, but just once as I was able to get them at retail price but I sold them at a premium. All the receipts and etc were provided on Paypal's description while selling but that's it no more selling.

In term's of buying, I used to buy a lot of stuff from Chinese sites for myself (some of them subscription like grammerly, zaful, airbnb etc) and I used to donate for some charity on my account.

I have had this PayPal since 2016 ( not too long but now it's been 4 year's ), I think what triggered Paypal was me receiving such a huge payment but it was sent as f&f so I don't know what's the problem with that...

It's very rare for someone to send their friend $15k so that was probably what did you in.

In my opinion it was the obvious fee evasion. You cheated Paypal out of $450 in fees by trying to say this wasn't a commercial transaction.

If the sender used a shaky source of funds then generally the only thing that happens is the payment goes "under review" for a day or two while Paypal makes sure it's not going to bounce or be charged back.
