Don't use instant bank verification unless names match!

I just opened two accounts with PayPal. One I added a debit card/bank account (stealth) and another one I added just the bank. I used their instant transfer service to pay my iOffer bill. Everything was going fine, my bank sent them the money and everything. Today I try to log into the account and I'm limited, the transaction has been reversed.

The other account hasn't been limited (yet) but it took the bank account off of my account and said to fax in a copy of my ID with bank account statement if I wanted to use that account with PayPal. Funny thing is, I've never used to second account and just set it up today.

Moral of the story, don't use their 'instant bank verification' if the names don't match.

That's probably a good idea.

Next time though, use a nickname or name variation of your real name instead.

For example if your name is Bob Thornton, use Robert Thornton on PayPal.

Remember eBay and PayPal doesn't use your name to link an account.. only your IP address, cookies and flash objects.

I didn't want to make a new thread so how about If I use a diff name and address on my paypal acct and a diff name and address on my ebay account but just use the paypal account to accept payments for each auction? Would that trigger a suspension to my ebay account? A few months ago It never seemed to be a problem because I accepted 1800, 600 and 700 dollar payments and nothing happened so I'm just curious either way

a paypal linked directly to ebay auctions, that have differing info to each other can trigger limitations

What if the paypal and ebay accounts have different names and addresses, but you do not accept payments via paypal for sales (only link the paypal account to the ebay account to be able to sell, as it is required for UK accounts).

Will that trigger any limitations?

It's the same thing, all it takes is for you to link accounts for eBay and PayPal to figure out name / address/ etc don't match.

At least use the same name.. or you're asking for it. :p
