PayPal $2.5k held for over a year
 

Hi,

So paypal suspended my account long time ago with ~$2.5k on it. So I didn't panic or etc., since I know i can withdraw after 180 days.
But once I logged in after ~200 days or so - I instantly got errors when trying to withdraw.

And now i've been going back and forth with messages on paypal and they're asking me to provide ID, utility -- I provide them.
They then ask to provide it again for like 4 times.

And this dragged for over a year now...
Last message they told they will review my request within 48 hours, but no answer still after 20 days!

So I pretty much lost hope I could claim my money back.
But I wanted to ask - did anybody experience such a situation?
And are there any institutions I can complain about it.

Maybe a lawyer could do something about it?

RIP, rule of thumb, ALWAYS KEEP COOKIES. AND WHEN YOU GET SUSPENDED IMMEDIATE ADD THE BANK YOU WANT IT TO GO TO AFTER 180 DAYS. OTHERWISE YOU MY FRIEND R FOOOKED

just use new user and firefox portable for each paypal account so you don't need to delete cookies.

I was operating it from the same pc/browser, so the cookies were intact.

As for "add bank after suspension" - how can i add a bank or CC when my account is suspended? - I cannot do that.

I've added new CCs for withdrawal with numerous paypals after 180 days and it was always fine.

But now - something is different...
Not sure why.

i have always been able to add bank after limitation pretty easily actually, what country paypal is it? we need this info.

It's a Lithuanian account (EU).

oof sadly not many of us use foreign paypals. We are not aware of the laws. I heard UK paypals are the worse. They literally steal millions.

Of course not! NEVER ever clear cookies.

You need to CALL Paypal, pass the verification over phone and ask them to add manually for you. First they will ask you to try adding again, if it does not work ask them to add it manually for you.

How do I add my bank info now my account has been permanently suspended?

You won't be able to do that.
You will have to wait until 180 days passes.
