Money stuck on old USA Personal Paypal account ?
 

Hi,
Haven't been in this forum in ages ... I asked a question in a different forum, and someone referred me to this forum, so here goes the question again


I have an old paypal account, from 2011 maybe (come to think of it, I might have bought it from this forum), back when you could pay to get a verified USA personal paypal account ..
Used it for years, then abandoned it .. I logged in recently, and it seems the money in it (around 1k usd) is in the ether ! not in paypal, but I can "accept it" which needs apparently a full verification .. or I can withdraw it, either by check (which won't work since the name isn't real : and I need to veryify a card with the address I guess) or by US bank account ..

My question is, can anybody help with this ? PM me .. maybe there is still an EMI that can accept paypal withdrawal in USD from a US personal account or any other method .. Anyway, let me know.

You can try to link debit card and withdraw to that card directly (if 180 days passed) , it used to work for me on EU/UK paypals some time ago , but im not sure about the US tbh.

When trying to link a card, I need one with an address in the US apparently ..

Maybe some kind of vcc would work ?

I can see the option to withdraw with a card ..

However, since the old card used to verify has expired, I need to link a new card, and it has to have the same address ..

So I'm guessing some kind of vcc or smth ... I wasn't in this space for a long time, looks like these days vcc and vba that work aren't available anymore ?

Open any debit card or the VCC of US for any data, then the address to which the card is open add to the PP account as an additional address, and then you can add the card to the PP (it only checks addresses, the name doesn’t look for compliance)
Easier - open any US BA, virtual or real, and add the AN-RN number to the PP, you do not even need to confirm mini deposits, you can immediately withdraw funds

I use TD bank or Citi bank for withdraw, so cant tell a lot. There is a VCC in Movo, Greendot, Payoneer, but you need to get it out carefully because they can be banned for no reason. In general, there are a lot of services, read the forum about this, here they sell both the VCC and the VBA, look at what services they sell and open your account there

Movo has issues with different names on withdraws. Greendot also doesnt like names that are different from the greendot holders name. Most greendot debit cards are for prepaid cards which go to less credit worthy people.

You may use PO in this situation. Of course you must have ability to add PO bank account to your PP account and pass some verification from PO (if they required).

You mean a purchase order right ? How do you do that ?
