Indefinite suspension from eBay. All new info now can I sell again
 

Hi, I was indefinitely banned from eBay in 2018 for vero issues with an electronics business I had at the time. I have since moved. I have a new phone number, back account and new computer. I just recently opened a new eBay account successfully with all the new info and sold a few items. I want to start my eBay business again using Paypal but wanted to know do I have to provide pp with my ss number or can I just provide them with a new tax ID that I am planning on getting once I set up my business with the state. Paypal is asking me for my ss number but I know that will definitely link me back to my old account. Any info on this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thank you and stay safe

adding ssn will ruin your new account. try to add an ein instead

so another words get an ein from the irs when I set up my biz with the state? If I do this are you sure that paypal wont ever request my ss#

No one, and I mean no one can give you any kind of guarantee. PayPal changes their terms of service all the time, so all you can really do is take a shot and hope they don't.

ebay gave me indefinite in 2018 bc they said that my business name was in place of my name on my account details page and they told me to change it once before and I did not. I explained it was an oversight on my part. I tried to appeal and they said they needed to see my distributor info. I sent in all the invoices and they said that distributor was on their black list and they banned me permantly. btw the distributor was legit and us based. Several months later I shut that both of those ebay/pp accounts down.

So I just recently opened an new ebay/pp account account with a new address, new phone # new computer. All is well thus far and sold several items in the last few months. My issue is in order for me to move my funds around in the new paypal acc they are requesting my ss#. My hesitancy is that if I do provide I am wondering if they will link it back to my old eBay and or pp account that they banned me from selling. lmkyt Thx and Happy Thanksgiving
