Paypal blocked mine and 3 other family members.?
 

Dear all,

I am new in forum and wanted to share my experience with PayPal and ask for help if there is any.

For 5 years I was using Paypal, and since I live with parents they were using their Paypal accounts from the same PC (All Europe accounts). As a student I lived in US so I have PayPal there also with legit US Adress, US SSN and ID. Note that after coming back to Europe, the only way I was accessing my US PayPal is via VNC over US VPS.
So in total I had 4 accounts:

1) My EU Account
2) Father
3) Mother
4) My US Accounts ( Same name and Date of Birth as ACC1 but different documents and adress ).


1 Month ago, the account 1 is blocked permenantly. Chat support told me it is due I was selling illegall stuff without detailed explanation.

Yesterday, accounts 2 and 3 are blocked also even they are my family members and they were not used in that period. Probably PC and IP Link so I was not supprised?

But then 1 hour after even my 4th accounts which is US and accessed over VPS is blocked.
I called US support and they told me the reason is: "Global Financial Crime-IP Infrigement".:help:
This account had only in average 10 transactions per month in $500 of total.
I called the same support 1 hour after to talk to different agent and when I asked for Global Crime and IP Infrigement reason they told me that they cannot see that in system??

Question I have for you:

1) If they blocked my account for IP Infrigement, didn't they supposed to let me know the details about Infringement report and who filled it?
(My concern is that my business competence is filling it, someone who knows all my accounts, and that is I believe I deserve proper explanation)

2) How they fgured out my US accounts since I literall never accessed to it except by VPS. Could they link it by some same sender who sent to both?

IP as intellectual property infringement ?

If that's the case you were selling counterfeit products which isn't allowed ?

I was selling android boxes and I don't know how that is illegal.
Plus to all buyers I was selling paypal.me direct link for payment which means paypal does not know what products are behind.

I have rarely seen PayPal take the sledgehammer approach. IP infringement is taken really seriously, especially when claims are substantiated.

Is it possible that you or someone else had sold that item or something else on Mom & Dad's account even if not recently?

These android boxes are fine legally, but software/services offered could be infringing on someone else's IP.

Selling online is such a minefield these days.

Sure, they were selling from time to time but not as much as I do.

Do you have an idea how do they figured out that I have the US account because It was always accessed via VPS?

And also, how is possible that they do not send me a copy of IP infringement report? As I heard fro others, they always send a copy with explanation what happened. Otherwise, It can be a false report, without me giving an opportunity to explain myself.

are your EU and US Paypal accounts linked to the same Ebay account?

PayPal does not like android boxes as they know that it will be loaded with goodies that violates copyright etc. They may be having a purge especially if the big movie companies are on their backs to not encourage android box sellers. Your US and European accounts may be linked if you transferred funds between them, your family was deemed guilt by association on the same IP and browser etc.

I was not using ebay at all, I was advertising through different websites and users were giving paypal.me link to pay directly.

never in my life, but i had the same customers paying to one and to another.

They will have blocked you all because of an IP link. I’ve had the same issue and am still fighting them over it. They simply don’t care
