Money not being released after 180 day hold
 

Ive had a paypal account with money stuck in it since Jan 2020 now on a '180' day hold. The amount £500, was held since then and should have been able to withdraw in June.

Whenever I try to click withdraw I get an error message. When I call paypal they say oh there's something we need to fix our end please wait 72 hours, after which nothing happens of course. Have had this 5 times now.

Wondering if anyone else has had any joys getting money released. Everything on the account has changed, address email phone number etc. The actual limit was not because of stealth reasons, it was because I folded the company which was attached to it.

send them an email, it can take few days for them to reply but they will fix it, so you can withdraw your funds.

Ive opened cases with them and get the same response, they keep referring me to the financial ombudsman to escalate my complaint but I never asked for it, just my money. Would email get different results? who would I email?

go to Paypal seller forum and see if you can email one of the Paypal reps there

Also try their twitter or IG page (i cant recall exactly which one is more effective these days)
