PP limited after 30k apple products flipped recently
 

Hi,

I've recently started buy mostly apple products from my metropolitan area and flipping them on ebay for small profits. I've done a little over 30k in the last several months, and paypal just limited my account pending supplier invoices.

What's the best course of action in this situation? I don't have proper receipts for most items. Some venmo/cash app receipts I suppose. I've been browsing the forum and it sounds like paypal doesn't like that type of "supplier"? Could I instead say I bought out the hardware of a failed startup of a friend? I don't need to sell anymore on ebay I just want my 5k out of my paypal balance.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oef, 30K of apple products.... That's pretty much a death sentence.

My guess is you wait the 180 days before you can get your money out. I'm assuming you already have a bank account attached to the Paypal account right?

I would try to provide them with receipts if it's possible,
- you might be able to create/edit your own receipts. Make them look just like the ones you have from the cash app you used.

- And for sure stop selling on that account for now. You don't wanna add to the 5K that's in there.

Honesty is the best policy. Provide them with every receipt you can find no matter what the source. It's much better to show that you were actually BUYING the items you were flipping since a lot of stolen merchandise gets sold online..

I have had this come up years ago for Advertisement banners for mountain Bike Companies. Stuff I got for free through my retail stores.

I simply called into paypal, told them where I was getting them, they had a few questions, asked for a couple tracking numbers and a photo ID. I uploaded the ID while I was on the phone and the funds were released and my account was able to continue selling.

What caused the problem was the system caught that I sold keywords "Trek TopFuel" for $40 or $50 when a bike would have sold well over a grand. I explained it was a banner to hang on the wall, asked them to look at the ebay listing and everything was wonderful again.

Also, you should be able to turn the account into a MP account down the road even if you have paypal issues.

Just give them what you have. Be honest. Loads of people flip stuff online they will understand.

Give them whatever receipts you have,if you do not but you know that person ask him to give you a written receipt with phone number and address,if he has a business card,thats good ,drug store used to sell those receipt sllips in a booklet,folks who go to garage sale would take them and ask the seller to sign .

why aren't you on MP,since you are US seller,if it is fine with Ebay,MP would not care .

yeah i have a decent account that just hit Paypal thresholds before they demand Tax id... i wish i was invited to MP lol

I have a client that hated paypal last year and he requested to be on MP and they sent him an link a few days later. Maybe you can reach out and see what they say.

Thanks for all the advice. I’m going to make a decision today or tomorrow On my story and provide receipts and all update with the eventual outcome. What a headache.

so as everyone said, paypal permanently limited me with nearly 10k in the account. From what i’ve read I just have to wait now. Thanks for the advice.

Moving forward, what are the first steps I should take to open a new account? Should I buy one? Can I add my normal debit/credit and bank accounts? Thanks

you said you have 5K,now they limit you with 10K in your account.
were you using your Paypal account to keep selling ,so 5K becomes 10K?
And now the account is permanently restricted?
there must be more than just not having receipts !
