How to withdraw money to a bank check
 

The letter from Paypal says that I can withdraw money after 180 days withholding by transfer to a bank account or bank check.
How can I withdraw money to a bank check, how does it work? I am not from the usa, but I have an acquaintance, a us citizen, explain how to proceed, what is needed for this?

The check will be on the name of the acct holder meaning youll need someone with that name (and address) in order to: 1. receive the check and 2. cash it.
So I doubt this will be an option for you...

If I indicate the real details of the person who helps me, should the names match? I know that some people make money by accepting checks from Paypal. How do they do it?

Some people have address on file - and many banks do accept stealth checks....

A US bank check will go to the person whose name is on your Paypal account to his address on your Paypal account ,there is a small fee like $1.50.

it would depend on the amount,just because it can be deposited at ATM,a bank clerk would then take cover .
Some banks would not accept endorsed checks not made out to the depositor.

if the PAYPAL check is made out to you and is drawn on a large US bank,can you take it to a local bank in Russia and ask them to collect the $$ for you.
It would cost you ,but a large bank should be able to do so.
Will your US friend be willing to mail you that check?

We dont know much about Russia,this is the way it works with bank clearance in US and other developed countries.
bank to bank clearance,domestic or intl,happens every day,every minute of the day.
It sounds like in your situation,it is not that your Russian bank cannot clear your check,it is that they want to know if it is a legit check made out to you and it is not a counterfeit check,printed by some scammers at home with those fancy printers.
I have on occasion received USPS postal orders printed outside USA,I reported to USPS fraud division and forwarded all 4 $1000 postal orders,I should have kept one for myself as a souvenir,it looks very real except the paper feels different and it has NO WATERMARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have also received business bank check which look rather impressive,it has Wells Fargo Bank Logo,name and address of the company,signature of the company treasurer,routing number,account number on the bottom of the check.
I took it to my bank(Chase),the banker said it looks legit but they have seen these checks before,if it turns out to be fraud,they could close my account.
Then I took it to Wells FARGO and a fraud specialist came out and said it is fraud and confiscated the check!

He is in Russia,but he said he has a friend in USA with a valid street address.
So if Paypal mails this bank check which is in his name to his friend in USA.
His friend can change the name of the recipient to his name,keeping everything else the same and deposit it online?
If that works,then the next question is -can he trust his US friend to forward the money to him?

are you referring to those neighborhood currency exchange shops where one can walkin and cash a check or buy a money order?
Before branch banking is allowed,these places do well.

No, it turns out it's not done that way.
You need to bring the PP account to the business, then give the business account a name identical to my iconic usa, then the names will match

P.S It turns out on this forum either no one really understands, or no one will say, there is no point in asking for advice, no one can answer anything about the case.

Russia has nothing to do with it, I have a USA account and the laws of the USA are respected. I will not publish more topics because I realized that it is useless

then make an LLC in your exact name, make a business acct at bank, deposit at will

you can't make a LLC in the name of the PP name, open bank business acct in that name, then deposit or better ATM deposit it?

100% of all business bank accounts in the USA will accept a check form deposit in any name. Most personal accounts will also do this especially with mobile deposit or ATM.

If your check is larger than your max mobile deposit limit, it may not be a great idea depending on your level of comfort if you received a phone call and was questioned.

But...... you can always just take the account number and routing number on the paypal check and make a new check in whatever name you wanted....

You say "any name" ? So a check with Fred Smith on it can be deposited in your business acct named Bongo Realty?

If a bank accepts your miss matched name deposits form amazon, etsy, paypal or MP, then it is accepting miss matched name deposits.

A miss matched name deposit is a miss matched name deposit not matter if it is electronic, ATM, in person, mobile. All the same.

Many banks will take it actually - if the check ever comes back as fraudulent or stopped payment...then the issues can begin

Hello, please explain how you can send bank checks only to the first and last name or to the name of the company (business is also possible)?
so that the owner of this company can cash the check.

Explain in more detail, I am not from the USA and I do not understand.
Will it work or not? Can I cash a check not by name and surname, but by company name?
If the name and address of a company is written on the check, will the owner of that company be able to cash the check?
Or a check can only be in the name and surname, but not for the company?

Old post, but i working with any checks and know.
It working for business banks but not all banks will accept third party checks.

depends on how you deposit the check,if it were direct deposit,no teller is reading the payee name,if you take it to your bank teller,he would notice name is different.

Such banks will require your passport ID for name verification
I went through this a long time ago, I have been in business with PayPal this field for over 14 years, I don't want to argue.
But thanks anyway for your opinion.
