paypal limited because of chargeback
 

hello,

I work as an assistant for an office. I pay for various things via paypal. I have never had a problem with paypal. I know the horror stories of paypal randomly locking accounts but personally paypal has always been good to me. this office has many employees, some of whom I have never met.

someone at the office, I don't know who, for some reason that I will never understand, did a chargeback on a legit charge. now paypal has locked the account. they need credit card statement and id. I need t pay for many things and I am stuck.

I am trying to assess my risks here. If I want to submit legit documents, I would have to jump through a bunch of hoops, explain why I need it, be passed around from one employee to another, and most likely get ignored. the name and address on the legit documents would not match with what paypal has. if I make my own documents, there is a chance they will run it through some software and know it's no good. but the name and address would obviously match what paypal has. which option has a higher chance of unlocking the account?

Either shop some docs or just get a new EIN and paypal account.


Story sounds made up tbh. Corporate America is better than this. :noidea:

new ein and paypal would again involve jumping through hoops, and getting ignored. where can I buy docs?

idk, probably on Tor. For CC statements you can just edit PDF's yourself.

You need to explain,are you all working for the same company?
Does the company has an account with Paypal?
why are you paying company bills with your own personal paypal account?
and how can this person file chargeback with his cc issuer and it hits your paypal account?
is his credit card registered with your Paypal account?

What I don't understand is.. if this is some kind of office big enough to have unknown employees.. why would it be using any kind of stealth Paypal account? How is this corporation doing it's taxes?

since you are running a paypal account that does not match genuine details it is already a stealth account and your company (assuming you are telling the truth) is not associated with that account officially since the paypal account is not registered to it

you don't have many options here. either you edit docs and upload hoping for the best or you open a few accounts at names of real people you know and use those which would reduce your risks massively

you do not allow anyone to access those accounts and your risks would be low if you only want to make payments

uploading docs at details not registered on paypal is not going to make you jump through hoops and explain anything because no one is gonna listen. you upload , paypal reject it and account stays limited indefinitely. paypal do not negotiate so you won't get an opportunity to explain anything

How man 'other people's credit cards' are linked to your PAYPAL account??

PayPal definitely does not like cc chargbacks to their accounts...

Paypal wants us to resolve the issue within Paypal,as cc chargeback hits Paypal and there is a fee of $20-$40 if it loses,and it will pass it on to you.

They pass on the fee even if you win the chargeback.

too many chargebacks is bad news for Paypal as its merchant account provider will raise its fee.
