Default Watch out! Paying your eBay fees is now 'suspicious activity'.

PayPal has just gone above and beyond ridiculous for me. I've sold about $4200 worth of goods on an eBay account. All the money is withdrawn now, so with the last a little over $320 in it, I paid the eBay fees - about 2 weeks after I withdrew all the other about $3900. Exactly 7 minutes after I paid the eBay fees, the PayPal account was limited for 'suspicious activity'.

The PayPal system was probably triggered by the large amount paid ($320) to eBay. What's even funnier ...they reversed the payment and now it's back in the account. I guess I will let it sit for 180 days, then withdraw the remaining $320 and stiff eBay for the fees.

is your ebay linked to your paypal account? They say you shouldn't pay your ebay fees with paypal. Always use a gift card (Simon) to pay your ebay fees. I have been doing this for awhile now with no problems.

Lol... I'm with aking.. it sounds like your accounts weren't linked together or at least you accessed the accounts with different IPs.. or maybe the name, address, etc might be different on the accounts.

Uh, yeah they were linked. Since over a year, too. And the information is exactly the same, down to the last dot. I've been paying eBay fees on this account before without problems.

Why should we not use paypal to pay our ebay fees? I have always had my accounts linked? I was afraid that if they weren't linked Paypal will become limited when I receive a bunch of payments for things that don't have invoices? Won't that happen?
