| | | | | LesleyG | 05-19-2010 05:59 AM | ebay/paypal told me today that I cannot get my money back after 180 days!! ebay/paypal told me today that I won't get my money back even after 180 days! I just wrote back and asked why was that! It is my real account with all real info. But I haven't paid the ebay commission fee yet. Is that the reason they don't release the funds? According to the user agreement, I should have all the rights to get access to that fund after 180 days whatsoever right?
Here's the email I got
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've looked at our records and see that eBay suspended your account due
to violations of the eBay User Agreement.
We've reviewed your suspension appeal and have decided that your eBay
account will remain suspended. Our decision is based on evidence from
our records as well as any additional information you've provided. Due
to eBay policy, we cannot provide you with more specific information. The funds on the account will not be released after the 180 days.
-- Note --
Although we will read any future appeals you send, we may not respond to
your inquiries.
Sincerely,
Dwayne

| LesleyG | 05-19-2010 06:24 AM | I've provided all the photo id and all the other info they wanted when I tried to appeal for the decision. But they didn't shut down my acc nor did lift my suspension. If I have to go to the court to protect my rights, what's the process? what should I do?There's 2k+ in the account, so I am gonna fight hard to get it back.. |
| stillconfused | 05-19-2010 06:33 AM | Is that legal? I can't believe they can do that. |
| GreenBean | 05-19-2010 07:33 AM | pfft...legal and paypal do not go together.
@Lesley, I quickly read your other posts. I cant quite get the picture. Could I trouble you to repeat it for me please?
On what basis did ebay suspend you? Was it a generic suspension? |

On what basis did ebay suspend you? Was it a generic suspension? | I did dropshipping for a person for months till I got suspended from ebay/paypal. They found out that i'm selling some william and sonoma electric appliance products at really low price. (I didn't know the source of these inventory since I do dropshipping). They didn't tell me any further in depth information. Though I haven't seen these products, I know they are not VERO and are in perfect condition according to all the good feedback I got from customers. I don't think I even violate the user agreement...
But anyways... after I provided everything which I made up of course, they decided to remain suspend my account. Didn't close it permanently, nor did it get lifted... |
| HurricaneHuntr | 05-19-2010 09:55 AM | i call BS on this, first of all eBay isn't the one who emails you about the 180 days, that's paypal. Ebay and paypal might be one in the same, except they are 2 different departments. Paypal emails people about the 180 days, ebay does not. Maybe he thinks you were asking about the money in your ebay account that was refunded for fee's? i don't know, even then they refunded me like $300 the last time my account on ebay got suspended and PAID ME via the paypal account i was using, which never was limited! |
| LesleyG | 05-20-2010 07:56 PM | I closed the original bank acc that was attached to the paypal acc. Was that the reason I couldn't withdraw after 180days? |
| GreenBean | 05-20-2010 08:01 PM | Most of what you've said is not adding up. Unless you get a specific notice from paypal to say the funds will be released, you will not get the money.
You might think you've got rights but it's paypal & you have few rights.
How many times did you access your accounts from China? What was the specific suspension notice from ebay: tell me that. |
| First Edition | 05-20-2010 09:56 PM | Lesley... are you sure it's not a phishing email?
Why was the account suspended? |

How many times did you access your accounts from China? What was the specific suspension notice from ebay: tell me that. | I live in the states most of the time. And upon my acc got suspended, I've only accessed the acc from US. I did log in to my acc couple of times from China it's just to check the status of my acc..does that matter also? didn't tell me exactly why my acc got suspended. I wasn't selling any VERO. They told me they won't tell me the detailed reason.
So really I can't do anything even when paypal takes away all my money:mad: |
| GreenBean | 05-21-2010 10:08 PM | It will matter to paypal/ebay. Sadly where you are right now is counterfeit capital of the world.:pout:
Last time, what was your notice of suspension from ebay,PLEASE?:peace:
That email you got is from a specialist unit in Utah. They have the final decision on the release of money.
Now you've likely got your reasons for being coy. But you're not helping yourself giving pieces of info. Just from mpov, you're not being striaght forward. If ebay/paypal perceive that...see where I'm going?:peace: |

so what can I do now?!!:> |
| Vicvelcro | 05-22-2010 09:38 AM | LesleyG,
You've been asked a couple of questions. Answer those specific questions with specific answers. Stop telling us about things that weren't asked. We don't care if you saw or didn't see the items you were selling. We don't care how long you've been in China.
We don't care about many of the details you've provided, because most of those details have nothing to do with anything. Answer the damned questions and stop being cagey.
Thank you. Have a nice day. |
| keroco | 05-28-2010 06:37 PM | thats true,
ur account will always limited forever, but you can withdraw ur money after 180 days.
i have this limitation too last year. |
| siccspitz | 05-31-2010 01:56 AM | after 180 days - u can call up pp and they will provide you a way to get your funds out
im on the waiting list - 4 more months lol |
| GreenBean | 05-31-2010 02:08 AM | @siccspitz, you will only be on the waiting list IF you have notice from paypal. The OP has had notice that paypal do not want to give the money back. It's a very different case from yours.:spy: |
| siccspitz | 05-31-2010 03:07 AM | i got an e mail from them saying i would.
i thought this was the same case
i didnt see the big bold letters-
what would be his best choice to re-verify if there is such thing |
I don't really understand why people are so tolerant to have their money held for 180 days, surely that is highly illegal?, I would go absolutely crazy, especially if it was a couple of grand |
| optioner | 05-31-2010 08:53 AM | "people are so tolerant" what else Can U do , take a frikken bloodsucking lawyer :noidea: |
| slapped | 05-31-2010 09:17 AM | All I Know is that, I WISH Paypal would send ME an E-Mail Telling me that they were NOT going to EVER give Me back my money on a Legit Account.---What a CASE that would Be---
@LesleyG(Threadstarter) Do you Have ANY Idea how ILLegal That is? Do you Know How EASY it would be to get a GOOD Lawyer to take a Case like that for FREE? The Publicity Alone for the Lawyer alone would be worth a Fortune, Not to mention Law review Atricles, TV Interviews, and whatever else.
Sorry, but you either DO NOT Know what you talking about, are Hiding something, or Simply Just trying to Amuse yourself. |
Think of all the interest Paypal are making by holding peoples money for 6 months |

can someone shed some light, please... | Just like a bank, PayPal makes money off the "float" of the funds they manage. In other words, PayPal is earning interest against the money that you (and millions of others) have placed into their accounts, but not spent yet.
Think of it this way: PayPal has roughly 50 million members. If each member left $10 in their account for a year, PayPal would start with around $500 million dollars as principal. Even at an interest rate as low as 1.75 percent, PayPal would be earning $8,750,000 every year, just for letting the money sit there!
Additionally, PayPal makes money by charging transaction fees for Premier and Business accounts: There's no charge to send money, but when you receive money, PayPal takes a percentage of the amount (between 1.9 percent and 2.9 percent) plus a 30-cent USD transaction fee.

Paypal has an account with Chase, and Each Paypal user has a His/Her own Piece of that account, that is why when you use a Paypal Debit card in a Chase ATM There is No Fee. If People would Take out there Paypal fustrations with Chase Something might get done Someday. |
| siccspitz | 05-31-2010 10:05 PM | im not sure but i think it says in the tos agreement that they are able to get your money from any source.
be rest assured if they do dig in your bank account they will not take more than what is needed. | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 02:03 PM. | |
