Question about release of funds after 180 day hold.
 

My bank accounts from ally got closed ... and i was dumb for opening too many. Is it possible to request the check sent to another address after the 180 days? i left the bank account open just for the deposit... but now well that's not an option. I don't mind depositing the check into my account, never had a problem before..... thoughts?

Provided you have had the official notice of the funds being held by paypal they will possibly allow the check to be sent to a nominated address. Or they might allow you to add a bank account.
Now I'm making this comment TODAY 06/11/2010. It may not be an option when your funds are available for release. There are conflicting stories about being adding bank accounts. Some claim it is possible. I've helped others and it was not possible. At the very least expect to have to talk to paypal closer to release date.

I had two stealth account limited and I was stupid enough to close one of the bank account linked to one of the two account limited. Now I don't really have a clue to how withdraw those funds too. I haven't tried adding any bank account as I didn't want to waste a bank account just on a couple of hundreds but bizzy is right about "even having $300 for x'mas is important". So I was thinking if anyone of you had any suggestion how to take that funds out? And just for everyone's information, I was able to withdraw from the other account after 180 days, just keep in mind to have the bank account remain open will do.

I agree with you about not wanting to add another bank account at this Point.
Paypal should mail you a check. I have heard that they can make it VERY difficult at times to get them to send a check. I can see why.

Paypal will NEVER Tell you but I am Quite sure that they wind up with Big Money Every year from money left "Unclaimed" in "Stealth" Accounts. Paypal Knows Exactly why these accounts were created and How and allow it, then Design their System to Keep as much as they can, Remember Stealth accounts have ⊗⊗⊗⊗ Names, Addresses, no Social Security Numbers, ect,ect So Paypal can make it really Hard for you to PROVE they Have YOUR Money, Your Info is Completely different, and they use this fact Against you.

Just Make SURE That you Have EVERY BIT of information used to create the account from DAY 1 as well as ALL Changes made to the account since. At the end of the day after they put you through the "Ringer" they have to send you a Check.---Make Sure that you have access to the Address listed on your Paypal account, because that is where they will insist on sending the check.

You could also have another problem because MOST, NOT ALL Banks do not accept Third party checks anymore, in other words, you May NOT be able to deposite a Check made out to Different Name into YOUR ACCOUNT. What you may have to do here is Make a deposite into your account that has Several Properly made out and endorsed checks and "Slip" the Third Party check in with the rest and hope that the teller does not Catch it, I have done this several times, with success.

The Lesson for everyone else here is to NEVER close the bank account attached to your Paypal account until you are COMPLETELY DONE with Paypal.
