Can I continue to sell while limited? How long?
 

My paypal account was limited for phone verification, I mucked it up. I am waiting on the letter and since then I have sold nearly 1k of stuff and received payments.

My question is, could I just continue to sell, never verify the location confirmation letter, and just withdraw my money 180 days from today? Or would they start the 180 day counter once I contacted them to say I am not going to verify.

Do you think they would release the funds for each transaction on a rolling 180 day system?

I could live with a 180 day period, but if I waited 180 days and then they said I had to wait another 180 that would really suck.

the 180 days i believe start when your account is limited permanently..
and also you can sell..just not accept payments through paypal..youll have to figure out something else...

i have received payments in paypal of over 1k now. I can still receive funds, just cant transfer them out. How long will they allow this to go on?

and how will my account ever reach a permanent suspension if i never verify, wont they just keep waiting for the verification?

so this isn't a permanent suspension? if its not then its a different story..

You would have a temporary limitation, wich means that the 180 doesnt apply to you, wich means if you want the cash, you have to verify.

Whilst temp limited you can continue to recieve funds, but not withdraw or send cash.

so how exactly would i convert this to a permanent limitation? would paypal literally keep letting me sell for years theoretically? Interesting. Perhaps I could use this as my retirement account LOL.

why would you want to limit the paypal forever??...if you do that you cant get the funds for 180 days..and youll have to find a new payment method or leave the ebay..

Well...why would I want to convert the temporary limit to a permanent? That would be because I want to get the money out.

Here is what I am thinking. Instead of trying to set up a new account and getting it limited to the point that I cant recover it and having to create another account every month or so, could i just leave it in this temporary hold that is relatively easy to verify until i am ready to verify and/or refuse to verify, and then collect the funds.

I have a theory that while this account is in this particular limitation, that it probably wont be reviewed for any OTHER standard limitations that they apply. So since this is an easy fix, wouldnt it be smarter to leave it where it is until I actally need the money and then try to verify and if they perma it then collect the money after 180 days.

I guess i could just verify the right numbers and either they are going to release the account in which case YAY!!! or they will perma ban right?
