180 Days Later..Please Help!! ASAP!

Thanks for viewing this firstly.

Ok, So its now 180 days since my account was limited and I got an email to remove the funds.

PROBLEM

I cannot withdraw at the moment, I have to add a bank account, only problem, my bank account is associated with a mega old PayPal account I had when I was like 16, that account is locked from Paypal, and i cannot login to it.

I cannot remember the in's and outs of what happened with that account, but my bank account is associated with it, and while it is, I cannot input on my new account to remove my limited funds.

Can anyone please advise on what I can do?

I thought about using my brothers bank account, however..

Paypal states on the screen...

"Please make sure that the name associated with your PayPal account exactly matches the name on your bank account statement. Otherwise, transfers to and from your PayPal account will not go through, and a return fee will be charged"

Please help me out.

Either make a new bank account and add it or check if paypal will send you a cheque provided you pay them £40. .

Do you and your brother have the same family name? Unless the bank is Lloyds, you've a 99% chance of a transfer going thro' OK. If the bank queries it, get your brother to tell them it's from someone who brought an item, anything.
paypal try to fool innocents like that with that statement. They're not nice.:pop2:

Yes we share the same surname.

He is with Barclays.

If I add his bank and transfer the money, it should go through ok then?

(I thought I was on fire earlier when I thought I couldn't get the money)

Can't see any dramas with the transfer. I get Barclays & RBS transfers with name variations without trouble. Your brother has not had that account near paypal, has he? It's a 'clean' account?

He has not had his bank account on a PayPal, no.

So I have the money in my limited account. I can input his bank details, add that as a bank to my paypal, and transfer the money over to his account? Yea?

That's the procedure. Now, just remember that paypal goes on sort number and account number only. Dont panic about the name as they said in that message.:peace:

Turns out he has a paypal, and his bank is on it.

What if I tell PayPal I do not have a bank account?
( Ihave a debit card on the account so that would be a bit silly)

Im really stuck, someone help.

Can someone help? Should I just open up a new bank account?
