How long does it take paypal to lift limit?

How long does it take paypal to lift the limit on your account once all the steps have been complete. I have done last 2 steps which were change password & security questions. Thanks

You either wait 48-72 hours or don't be shy, call them up if you want to speed a bit. But patience...patience.

I don't think password change and security Qs are part of withdrawal limit?
Or are we talking about something else here?

I think this is when you log in from foreign ip. They think someone is trying to hijack you paypal, they ask you to type in your bank account or cc number and then change your password and security questions.

More of a hold than a kill limit. Easy to fix. Just log in and put in the info and change pass/security questions and usually immediate lift of limit.

There's no set time on this. It depends on who is reviewing your account and how prompt they are. I'd said somewhere within 24 hrs to never happening at all. lol

Don't ever call paypal if you don't have to... Just chill out and relax.

I agree! patience is key. I, at one time was calling them a lot and got away with it but now they will put your account under an ELEVATED REVIEW (You dont want that!) when you call so I wouldnt advise calling if you dont have to.
I got limited after phone calls lately. no more calling for me. stay under the radar is key as we all agree.

Well... for some reason when I logged into PP, I got this big red bar across saying that they are putting the hold back into my acc -_-

I wonder what's up with that. And yea, started selling 1 month ago, but with 40+ feedback and 5.0 dsr

rsot 08-30-2010 12:18 PM

Responded in other post mini-boss =P

Yea I got the red bar too recntly. I wasn't getting any holds, now all my payments are being held. Account is 3 months old but has 0 feedback, just started selling on it recently.

OfficialGenius 08-30-2010 02:57 PM

It's getting very tiring hearing everyone complain about this all the time.
So how about this... If the holds are purposely placed to reduce or prevent random and inconvenient limitations then it's a good thing for these holds.

But who knows what's the main reason and purpose of this.

Only time will tell.
